Linking West Nile Virus and Castro

west nile virus seems like a pretty stupid thing to use as a biological weapon considering the death rate when compared to the infection rate is so infantessimal... how exactly would it kill lots of people?

LOL

Not to highjack this thread or anything, but my dd's bf sort of complained that his vocabulary doubles every time he comes over.

I thought it looked rather strange. LOL

Thanks luvwinnie.....I was wondering why I couldn't find cc's spelling of the word in the dictionary!

Considering those who actually die all seem to be in their 80's rather than in the productive, working parts of their lives, it is highly unlikely. also many of the mosquitos that were infected earlier in the year in Ct. were those mosquitos that only bit birds. I don't think much money would go into a "project" that would primarily affect our crows. Senator Pat Leahy, D. VT. speculated on this and no really has taken it seriously.

Wouldn't Castro have released something more fatal than West Nile? Smallpox or Bubonic plague maybe?

I think Castro would do and say anything just to get attention.

the West Nile virus is just an attempt to see if they can do it? What if they were able to infect with Ebola, or any other nasty virus that IS capable of killing more than just the carrier.

There's a lot of What Ifs, and we certainly don't think like they are thinking, that's for sure.

Maybe we just shouldn't think of the "What if's"... we have enough real things to worry about!

whoops -- sorry spelling isn't my forte. LOL :p
