Curious - A friend just purchased tix.from UT. Does she have to wait until she actually receives them before she can link to MDE or.do they give you a code when you order them?

1. Yes.

2. You must ASK for the ticket numbers in advance, if you want them.
(And, unless it's an "emergency" (so to speak) there's usually little need to get the numbers in advance.)

You usually get the UT tickets about 7-10 days after you order them online, so if you order them 67-70 days or more before your trip, then yes.

Your UT order is completely unrelated to your resort reservation, which determines your booking window. UT has no idea when you are traveling to WDW.
