Linking to a specific post # within a thread

How do you link to a specific post # within a fairly long thread so a visitor can go directly to that post instead of scrolling through the entire thread? I see this a lot in dining reviews. TIA.

Click on the # in the upper right corner of the post
That will open the post in a new thread
Copy the link from the address bar
Paste the link where you want it

Above it the link to your post

Even easier is to mouseover the little icon just before where it says “Posted” followed by the date, and copy the link address.

You can also right-click on that number and choose copy shortcut. It will save a couple of steps.

Type the words that you want it to say.
Highlight them and then click on the "link" icon at the top of the posting box (looks like a globe with a chain link)
When the box pops up put the link to the page in it.

The code that results can be copied and pasted where ever you need it.
