Linking ticket to magic band

I have never used a magic band yet and not sure how set it up. There will be 7 of us going and we are staying off site. We are buying only one magic band for one person so how do I link the magic band to a specific persons park ticket? We have the tickets now but ordered the magic band today so don't have that yet. I do have the my Disney experience account with the tickets linked to it.

When you receive your MB, link the ID # that's on the underside of the MB to the correct person in MDE.

As soon as it's linked, it provides the link to the ticket and FPs for that specific person. All your data is in your MDE account. The MB just provides the link to the data.

Thanks, so when I get the MB and go to link it it will let me choose the person from my family and friends list to link it to?

Yes. Go the MagicBand and cards section of MDE (in the Profile area) where you will enter the ID # and link it to the correct person. Once it is linked, it cannot be transferred to another person.
