Linking room only & package reservations?

I booked the CBR with free dining from 8/26 - 8/30 and I have a room only reservation through AAA at the CBR for 8/25. Is there a way to link these reservations so we don't need to change rooms? I know that I need to check out and check back in on 8/26 but do they normally let you stay in the same room? Thanks for any info you can provide.
