Linking reservations

I rented points from a member for 4 days, i then rented 1 more day from another member. Both at the same resort in same category studio is there anyway to link these two so we dont have to change rooms?

Yes, they can be linked. They each must be in the same name and, as you mentioned, the same type of room.

The member holding the arrival day reservation would be the one to call member services to link. He would probably need the reservation number of the second one. A three-way call can be done, but it is not required.

Dining plans and Magical Express (arrival) must be done by the member holding the arrival reservation. The member holding the second reservation would be the one to set up Magical Express departure if needed.

Once the rooms are linked, if you purchase the DDP, it must be purchased for the entire stay.

I just had 3 different reservations linked and was told that there was no limit as long as the reservations are in the same room and the same type. The only problem I had was trying to make the 180-day + 10 dining reservations. For some reason, the dining system counted each reservation separate. However, I was able to make the dining reservations through Member Services, get the 10-day booking period added.

what do you think the chances of getting this done on check in are? We are having some trouble with the names being an identical reservation.

Very good if it's the EXACT same unit type. You should be able to do so now though. Just ask each owner you've rented from to update the names on the reservations and give them the other confirmation # so each can link to the other. I'd prepare the info in such a way that each merely had to copy it and send it to MS by email. That way it's easy for them and easy for you and you'll know it's right. If by chance they are different on purpose for DDP or similar you won't be able to link them or if you do, you'll have to get the DDP for every person no matter how short a time they're there. This really shouldn't be that difficult and anyone renting points should be willing to do this unless there's something we don't know about the set up.
