"Linking" DVC reservations?

I rented DVC points through a 3rd party service. We purchased airfare later, and got a much better deal flying in a day earlier. I was able to find someone willing to rent points for that night at the same resort. So we have a one night reservation for Saturday night, then another for 5 nights beginning Sunday, all at BWV.

Is there any way for us to "link" the 2 reservations together, and is there a possibility that they will let us stay in the same room, or will we have to check out and back in again?

They can be linked, but I believe that both of the owners that you rented from need to contact DVC to get them linked so that the resort sees them as a 'Continuing Stay'.

And they must be the same type of room, not different views...for insyance, one reservation can not be "Near HH" and the other not at OKW, or one be MK view and the other lake view at BLT.

At BWV there are 3 views for DVC reservations - standard, pool/garden and boardwalk. They are not requests, they are reserved. They would have to match.

Do be aware that even if they are able to get them linked, you'll still have to swing by the front desk on the day that it changes from one reservation to the other to "check out/check in." A little silly, but it is what it is.

Also, they base housekeeping upon the individual stays, not the combined stay. Not a big deal, either, just something to be aware of.
