Hi everyone! :)

I know it's not the traditional way to post reviews but I actually have a food blog and I've been posting my dining reviews for my recent trip to Disney's Vero Beach Resort and WDW. So far, I only have two reviews up but plan on adding new ones each day until I'm done. To view the reviews with PICS, please visit my blog, The Average Cook, at:

Hope you enjoy!

Will be posting later this week:
Breakfast and Dinner at Shutters at DVB
Dinner at The Green Cabin Room at DVB
Two local restaurants in VB
Epcot F&W reviews
Breakfast at Kona Cafe at The Poly

Just updated today with a review of breakfast at Shutters and dinner at Riverside Cafe, downtown Vero Beach.

Just had a read of your reviews - very good. Thanks for posting. That flatbread that you had the first night looked good but I was almost gagging myself at the description of all the garlic on it.

Looking forward to reading more :)

Thanks Wilma-bride! I wish I had taken a picture of the garlic that was just SPREAD underneath the tomatoes and mozzarella. It was unbelievable! I didn't realize it until that last horrid bite when I forced myself to swallow it. :crazy2:

Updated today with lunch and dinner at resort.

I'm still here reading along - those chicken fingers look HUGE :scared1:

Yup, they were definitely huge! But good! :goodvibes

Updated today, 11/2 with reviews of Mr. Manatee's in Vero Beach and Shutters at Disney's Vero Beach Resort.

Updated today with Food & Wine Festival with pics.

Having some format problems so I'll be tinkering with it but the text and pics are all there! Enjoy!

Updated today with review of breakfast at Kona Cafe including the infamous Tonga Toast.

Hi Dani, I finally got round to reading the rest of your reviews. I am soooooo looking forward to trying Tonga Toast next time we ware at Disney. I do so hope I like it ;)

By the way, I read your recipes also - the roast chicken one where you comment that it shoulkd have only taken an hour and a half - here in the UK we cook roast chicken based on 20 minutes per lb plus an extra 20 - and that is for an unstuffed bird. If it's stuffed, then you should be allowing around 30 minutes per lb. So not sure where your timings came from but I'm glad you didn't eat undercooked chicken - that would have been not nice at all :sad2: Also, in order to stop it drying out, you should baste it regularly - sorry, I'll stop giving you cooking tips now :rotfl2:

Really enjoyed your reviews and I've also bookmarked your blog as I look forward to reading more of your recipes :)

Thanks Joh for the tips! I'm certainly no expert in cooking so feedback is always good! :goodvibes

Glad you are enjoying it! You can actually subscribe to the blog by clicking on the right hand corner where it will take you to Feedreader. Then when I post a new recipe or review, you'll automatically be notified! :)
