LInk to report on accessible excursion on cruise

Thanks for the heads up. I will add a link to it in the disABILITIES FAQs thread.:thumbsup2

I took an accessible lift van excursion also in St. Thomas that was provided by DCL. It's no longer offered. It wasn't the best- the driver was afraid of my service dog and didn't tie down my chair. I was seated next to a young woman also in a power chair who wasn't tied down and we had a wild ride bumping into each other and slamming forward/backward against the back door. We were driving up the side of the mountain and it was difficult to maintain my balance also, plus my SD was a nervous wreck worried about my instability and trying to brace against me. If anyone wants to book accessible excursions, you can always try ShoreTrips- they often require a van charter but at least you'll have an option. I have seen tours on that site provided to groups of disabled guests- one was actually a beach excursion for several guests with MS who had an accessible bathroom/cabana by the beach and sand wheelchairs, so they do work with people to provide a nice experience. Depending on the port you're visiting you might also be able to arrange something independently.---Kathy
