We will be cruising with DCL this June for the first time, and I have a question about linking our reservations.
We will have four cabins (13 people all new to DCL) on the Fantasy and want to be sure we are seated together at dinner (or at least close to each other), so I have linked the reservations on the DCL website.
However, I have just read on this site that when our reservations are linked, only one of us can do online check in at a time. Did I understand this correctly?
With four reservations, it doesn't seem ideal to have to arrange for four separate people to check in one after the other at midnight. I am concerned about getting an early PAT; because we are new to DCL, I'm guessing I will have to try to schedule some character breakfasts/meet and greets on the ship on embarkation day if they are unavailable when I check in at 75 days out.
Would it make more sense to "unlink" the reservations (if I can do that) until after we have done online check in to schedule the PAT, excursions, and character breakfasts/meet and greets? Then I could link them back together after the online check in is done so we are sure to be seated together at dinner? (I believe that I read that the largest table only seats 10, so we will be at two different tables).
Any thoughts/feedback on what would be the best plan in this situation?
Thank you in advance for your help and advice!
