Link payment method before ordering Magic Bands?

We're going to WDW Sep-Oct, so I was wondering if I need to associate a credit card on My Disney Experience before ordering our magic bands. Would that be something that would be added onto the magic bands electronically so as to save a trip to the front desk upon arrival? If that is doable, it would seem wise in the current "climate".

You don't have to link the credit card before ordering. You can link a credit card at anytime through MDE.

And NOTHING is ever stored ON the Magic Band. Magic Bands are merely a means of accessing your MDE account, which is where EVERYTHING is stored.
