Lines Apps for Canadians

When I tried to download it, it said it was not available in my country. I'll wait to download it when I get to disney with the free wifi in the hotel. I've heard various reports that you can easily download once you are in the U.S.

This is probably a really dumb question...

But I have a "non-smart" phone :rotfl: so the whole "data" thing baffles me.

Our DD has an iPod. We're able to download the Mobile Magic to it no problem.

Can we use it in the parks? Or will it not work because it needs wifi to work?

I'm also new here, so I have no clue what CSR stands for!

The iPod will need wifi to work unless you have 3G with a carrier.

CSR stands for Coronado Springs Resort.

I'm a little technologically challenged. I've been reading that they are going to start offering free wi-fi in the parks so does that mean that instead of using data you can just hop on their wi-fi?

You can download My Disney Experience in Canada on the iPod. It is the Disney app and you can use it for many things including finding restaurant times and making ADRs.

My Disney Experience is free, available in Canada and works on iPods. It is by Disney and you can also make ADRs with it. Check it out!

Further info - My Disney Experience is the new updated version of Mobile Magic.

As this thread says, it does work on our Canadian products.

Tiger :)

just to be clear for me.. (I have never used any of the disney related line apps before !)..

can I download in canada, then use it at disney ?? and can I download this onto an IPOD touch to use?

Absolutely you can download to your iPod and use it in Disney. Disney put out the app.

A bunch of random updates for this:
- Free WiFi is now available in the Magic Kingdom so you can use Lines on an iPod
- If you have a non-smart-phone, as long as you can get to a web browser go to http://m.touringplans.com and you get most of the same information as with the app
- The TouringPlans app now has the ability to do offline touring plans. Create the touring plan when you're online and then you'll still have access to it without any data. You won't get the up-to-the-minute wait times though.
- If you want a US iTunes account, buy a US iTunes gift card and open a second iTunes account using it. Give it any address you want in the US. It will then give you access to all the free apps that are only available in the US plus the US media content and paid apps (up to the value of the gift card)

Last year I found a WiFi signal inside of Space Ship Earth I was able to use if you are looking at updating your lines app at EPCOT.

Wish I would have known about this before our trip a few weeks ago, doh!
When did they start offering free wifi at MK?
