Thats a lot.....what did she do?
Assigning lines as a punishment is frowned upon by a lot of schools these days.
I've seen some teachers call it "handwriting practice" though.
My son's friend asked if he could do it on word![]()

Copy paste, copy paste.![]()
She spoke to me in a really hurtful tone. She got 500 of "I will not speak to mom in a rude tone".This was after a few warning and days of "no friends". Puberty is going to be the end of me.

What was the most anyone had to write as punishment at school? I was good...most I got was 200!
Is it working? How old is she? My oldest is will be 11 on Monday and OMG, I need a new approach to the "attitude". I'm using this idea!
Sister Angelina's 3rd grade class
There's a time and place for everything!! 500 times
Mrs. Bascombs 5th grade class
"Forget writing lines, write your Speller Dictionary TWICE!!!"
I was so happy when I went to public school in the 7th grade. No more nuns and no more lines.![]()
It did but next time she is getting her #1 love taken away: her favorite clothes. We'll see. She's been better but still those moments creep up. She's testing me, I know. After the lines we sat her down and kindly tried to explain why she's shouldn't use that tone; not only does it hurt me but it hurts her as well by putting her in a negative place. She gave us her 11 y/o reasoning which sounds super lucid to an 11 y/o, not so much to an adult.

Gosh, I know what you mean! I thought we had until she was 13 but...
Maybe you are right about hoping for puberty. She is so sweet and innocent in public, but once we are home out comes the evil twin. I think she's just testing us, maybe a sprainedwrist will show her the light!
You better clarify that you mean sprained because of writing and not because you snapped it.
You'll get flamed!

My plan is to choose 5 outfits for school and scrubbies for the weekend and see if that helps.
