Line etiqutte question

An adult leaving and coming back with a couple of little ones that have to potty are no big deal in my book. Been there, done that.

I take issue with the daddy, uncle, grandma and grandpa that magically appeared 30 minutes into the line at TSM because the 8 month old baby needed to be changed, and mommy just went ahead and got in line for everyone, instead of waiting at the entrance to the line. Nope - they weren't even in the line to begin with. (true story) :sad2:

They're not gettin' through. :thumbsup2

I am about as big of a a@@ as there is and even I understand KIDS GOTTA GO. What I have seen that is not cool is parents draggin their kid into a 20 minute line while the kid is telling them they have to go to the bathroom.

I beg to differ.

I'M a bigger A$$ than you are, and I say it's OK!!!

Sorry, this thread is just too civil for a line pee-pee thread, and, as I said earlier, I'm bored.

Hahaha that happened to us at TSM in May. My mother... she says what she wants says "What is going on here?" as they all pushed past us (5 of them with a baby) oh the baby needed to be changed.
 Whatever.

:thumbsup2 They say admitting you have a problem is the first step! I could be the grand master champion!

I was referring to the other part.

Oh, I thought it was more like an AA type thing and you were offering to be my sponser.

But enough of this touchy feely crap, I'm gonna stir the pot.

If you attempt to cut in line around me, regardless of the reason, I will shoot you in the face with a bazooka (I stole that from Bill Cosby), and then report you to Disney Police.

:rotfl: Is that the same bazooka you brought in the park to entertain your kids in line so you didn't have to blow bubbles on people?? :rotfl:

Whatever happened to the bubble thread? I can't remember when I have laughed that hard in the middle of the night! I scared my cats!

No, that's the bazooka that is mounted on my quadroople wide stoller that I use to push my 18 year old "baby" in (when she's not riding around on her heelies). I know that she only really needs a double wide, but having one that wide enables me to carry all my old refillable mugs and towels for pool hopping.

Besides, since I park at BoardWalk and walk into EPCOT, I need that extra space for my cigerettes that I smoke whereever I darn well feel like smoking.

Okay WAY off topic... but I don't get the stroller to haul my "stuff" .... what stuff?? I make my 5 year old carry a backpack with all the "stuff" we need. Sunscreen, bottles of water, tissues, a can of coke for hubby. If a 5 year old can carry it ~ why do adults need a stroller to push "stuff" around?

Totally confuses me.

As a 2's preschool teacher who potty trains for a good majority of the year, I would say:

If your child is already past pullups, don't go back to them. It could cause them to regress making things harder for you when you get home. Use this time to teach your potty training child that sometimes its inconvenient to go to the potty, so you have two options. To a) learn how to hold it. or b) go potty before you REALLY have to go.

The best option for their age would be b. Even if they fight you by saying "I don't have to go!" use a funny phrase to make it seem more... postive. Like "emptying the tank" as a previous poster put.

I prefer to potty train them in underwear, anyway. Pull ups don't help because they can't always feel it if they've peed. *unless you use the kind that has a cold strip.

If you're bored, may I suggest the thread about the restaurant that posted a sign that read "Screaming Children Will Not Be Tolerated"? You can find it easily by searching "tolerated." :upsidedow

Does anybody remember the thread asking about bringing a "confetti cannon" into the parks to launch confetti during the parades to "make some extra magic" and whether security would have any "concerns"? That thread was awesome!

:thumbsup2I totally agree with the pull-ups. If all she is giving you is 2 minutes warning, it may take longer than 2 minutes to get OUT of line and find the closest bathroom. Also taking to the BR before getting in line would probably help, too. I'd hate to see her have an accident on the way out of the line. She probably wouldn't be too happy about that either if she is doing pretty well otherwise.
I agree that with that little notice, you are not going to be able to get out of the line and get to the bathroom.

If you don’t want to put her in pullups, I would suggest putting her in underwear, but put a pull up OVER it. That way, if she wets, she will only get the underwear and maybe the pullup wet. Her clothes would probably still be dry and you won’t have to worry about her getting an attraction seat wet.
(I have sat next to someone who sat on a theater seat and got an unexpected wet seat).

My kid is short.

So I need the quad stroller to carry stuff to shove in her shoes so she can make the height requirements on the rides.

Duh.

I honestly don't think about it if I see 1 parent with one little one say under 7 because I get it. Now when its a a bunch of teens that go in and out or adults I have an issue with it.

We are going to close this Now. The OP has her quuestion answered and these always get out of hand. Thanks Rich
