Ok I am one of the people who send the family to one ride and go get the fastpass. And yes I then find a time to join them. I know I am not loved here. And yes I have had the child who said ("i have to go to the bathroom)My problem is the reverse when a single person is on the line and the "rest" of the party join them. That means they were on another ride while the rest of us wait to get on this one.
Bell,
I am with you. I am the person to get the fastpasses while my hubby and son wait for me on line. I agree that it shouldn't be a whole group joining the line. If it is just one or two, like if they had to take one to the bathroom. That should not be a problem. I understand how people are upset with this whole cutting the line mess. I think we are not cutting the line. If my hubby and son are waiting for me, and I join them, there should be no problem. Sometimes as parents, we have to take the kids to the bathroom and I will be daggone if I get off that long line get back on so we go to the bathroom.
It can get quite hectic waiting on line for a ride. We are going on August 26 and I will be getting fastpasses for certain rides while my hubby and son are on another line. I am sure everyone does it. Just don't be so obvious and be courteous to others waiting on line.
) But how do you expect WDW to enforce that? The person gets up to the machine and then starts feeding the cards into the FP machine only to state that they didn't know there were different lines for different machines. CM's are not going to make them change lines (aka no confrontations w/ guests) so why bother having the different lines to begin with.
) to soften the long wait.
) BUT....if you (or your group) get in line while you leave someone out getting fastpasses and then that person tries to catch up with you (or your group), you WILL be getting some not so nice remarks from me (and my group) especially if you are gonna dish out attitude as you come past me! It happened way too many times to us last year and I can't understand why you would think it is even sort of OK for you to do that. For quite a few years now, my group knows the routine....One person takes all passes to the FP machine while the rest of the group WAITS at the queue entrance and then when the person getting the FP's gets to the entrance we all proceed in together! I hate to admit it too,
but after so many instances of this last year I (we...me and DH)had finally had it and really let loose on a lady coming thru the line to join her husband after getting her FP's. I'm sure she thought twice about doing it again...at least for that day! On second thought...it probably never phased her!!
