Hi:
Does anyone know if these lines are accessible or do you go in a different entrance? I'm finally going to try these rides.

Is Splash Mountain like your typical log ride meaning the log does not stop? We went on a log ride last year at a local amusement park and my husband just threw me over his shoulder and hopped on. Everyone clapped but I was fearful for my life! If the logs don't stop, I WON"T transfer on even in Disney after that experience!

When we were there in December, we went through the exit at Thunder Mountain. I had to park my scooter and then use a wheel chair to the loading area. My scooter was waiting for me when I was done. Don't know about Splash Mountain. Didn't ride it

At Splash you will be diverted from the queue (either fastpass or standby) at a certain point and go into the exit. The logs do come to a full stop for load/unload. You will then enter from the unload side. The logs do not start moving until everyone is seated. And they now have lap bars.

Thank you! So, is it still wise for me to get a fastpass for these two rides or would it be unnecessary?

Fastpass is a good idea.

The ride car for Big Thunder RR is a small step in and the side of the ride car isopen. The restraint is a lap bar that pulls down. Here is a picture of the ride car from allearsnet.com

The log for Splash Mountain comes to a complete stop, as other posters mentioned, but it is not an easy transfer in. The side of the log is raher high and the space is tight. It now has lap bars, which I have read are similar to Big Thunder Mountain. THis is a picture from before the lap bars were installed.

We were there 2-10 - 2-19 no need to get a fast pass for Thunder Mountain you go to the exit. The first row in the last car has a transfer seat that folds down so you can slide from your chair right into the seat
