Sorry to hear about your accident. I agree that you did the right thing calling the cops. Hope the soreness has gone away!

Glad your bball team is doing well. I don't do sports so I'm pretty clueless But if you like it you should definitely do season tickets in 4 short years!

Well, I have been really slack on my exercise lately too. Maybe we need some challenge for each other to get moving again? I will try to think of something that will work... I'll get back to you. Or if you think of something let me know.

Thanks for stopping in everyone and saying hi! I'm not too sore anymore (a little bit, but I'm not complaining).

My Cards lost yesterday But they were really good. I cant believe how good they were, they just didnt win at the end. Both teams (they were playing Texas A&M) were tied pretty much the whole game, just a point or two different. Then our point guard Edgar Sosa missed 2 free throws. Then he shot a weird 3 pointer way too early when there were lots of other plays to run. I feel so sorry for him. He is like a little kid. Hes just a freshman, and when I say hes like a kid, its true. He gets so excited and jumps up and down and hoots and hollers when he does good, and he wilts when he makes a mistake. After the game he was sobbing in the locker room, they had to take him away. When the press tried to talk to him he said "I want to talk to my mom". This freshman guard scored 31 points and hit 15 free throws in a row before missing those 2. He was a superstar. Next year they are going to be so good. I think I will get my tickets to the final four now.

I am doing horrible in all things diet and exercise. I feel fine but unfocused. Amber, I want to wait for another challenge until after vacation. I leave in just 3 weeks. I should be starving myself. The whole swimsuit thing will be scary, but I have a good cover-up!

Ok, I can cheer on your tigers if you want. However, you are abandoning them soon, and will have to make the life-altering decision between Alabama and Auburn. Dont laugh, this is very important. If you choose poorly, your children will be ridiculed and your social life will be a disaster. You need to start studying up on this NOW.

My baby boy has been really sick (flu). They called me from school to pick him up today, and I have him drugged up and asleep. He keeps saying he has to go to school tomorrow because its exams. We'll see.


Vacation is at Universal Orlando, staying at the Portofino Bay Resort. Ellen will be there next week, leaving the day I get there. It would have been so cool to see Ellen there!

I am reading "wicked". Its cool. Have any of you read it?

I caught my sons flu! Blah! I had to work last night and I was so sick and they wouldnt let me leave. Really pissed me off! So I took off today to try and recoup a bit. I dont want to be sick on vacation! I do feel a little better, but I kind of fade off every few hours, no stamina. I'll be fine. I hope to go to work tomorrow anyway.

I did put some mulch out today. It looks good. I sat outside and read since it was pretty too. My son missed exams last week and will have to do make-ups so he is a little bummed.

One good thing, his band director said he would let him play football and be in the band. This is very unusual, and he has to ask the football coach if they can work it out. Personally, I think the band director doesnt want to lose his "star" drummer!

Good nite all. I know I havent been posting my food and stuff. I am lazy. Just kinda waiting until after vacation. Too many things to focus on. No lectures please!

Hi,
I feel for your son with the girlfriend issues. I have 2 boys who are 11 & 4. I dread having to go thru the girlfriend thing with them.
Really can't give to much advice either. I have been with DH since I was 18 (22 years). I'm so far out of the loop on dating and what kids do now. I have noticed that the girls now days seem so much older then I was at that age.
It sounds like it may be a blessing that the girlfriend is now his ex girlfriend. He sounds like a nice kid.

Well, she is his ex, but they still talk on the phone for hours Hopefully he will get over it for good!

Wow, i have been so busy! Kev had his spring football game yesterday and potluck dinner, etc. Took all night! Heres a pic of his coach yelling at him after he messed up!

Thought it would be fun to have a picture of that!

But, hey , he's only been playing football for three weeks, he will figure it out!

Tonight has been weird too. One of the neighbors found a stray dog, obviously owned by someone, has tags and is well cared for, but not from our neighborhood. Tried to call the vet to find the owner, but it was too late. Well, the neighbor decides to lets us keep it overnight since we have the fenced yard. This dog looks almost identical to our dog Arwen! Just a bit smaller. Now Arwen is normally a very friendly dog, wants to play with other dogs, but never mean or anything. So we put the other dog in the yard and brought Arwen out to meet her. Everything was ok, then Arwen pees, to kind of mark it as her yard I guess.....well the other dog was not "respectful" of this I guess and it really torqued Arwen off and she pitched a fit! The other dog was completely unfazed....didnt care at all that Arwen was having a fit....I think she was trying to ignore the "crazy" dog! Anyway we decided Arwen has to stay in, and the other dog stay in the backyard. This is stressing my poor dog out terribly! She figures its her duty to make sure no one is there, and theres a strange dog in the yard. It was hilarious to watch them, Arwen inside looking out the back door and barking....the other dog (who looks just like her) standing at the back door just looking at her like shes nuts! I sure hope we find the owner tomorrow!


I leave in 1 week for vacation! Its to Universal Studios btw in case I didnt mention that before.

I understand not being focused just now on the diet & exercise thing. I am trying to get myself ready to start again in April and get serious this time. Maybe when you get back you and I can kick each other into gear.

Sure Marie! You can squeeze in the back seat between 2 of the 15 yr olds. They might let you play xbox if youre really nice and cool. Its 7 hours to atlanta, then 7 more to orlando. At 17 fart jokes per hour, added to sticking your face against the window to try to make the other travelers laugh, plus burping contests, I'm sure you'll fit right in!

Of course once I get there it will be glorious!

Ah, Linda, you are probably lounging around in the sun about now. I'm so jealous!! Hope you are having a BLAST!!!

I am back! I drove 16 hours on friday and got back late. It should have taken 14 hours but we sat for 1 1/2 hours in nashville. Why in the world do they not have a loop around that city? What a design nightmare! Anyway, then yesterday was my niece's wedding. So it was along day too. I am so tired and my house looks like every room threw up! I am doing laundry now, but I need to relax a bit today too, so I think I will go see a movie later.

My niece's wedding was wonderful! She was so beautiful and I got all choked up. I have never gotten choked up at a wedding before! I guess its just because shes the first person I've known since she was born get married. And we are so happy for her. She is the mom of colin, who is the baby I told you was born with 2 holes in his heart and was so sick for over a year he was the size of a newborn. She went thru all that at 19. Unmarried and so much to deal with by herself. She is like a bright spot in the world to me.

anyway, I am going to do a trip report, which you guys have to look at. It will probably take me a while! We had a blast!

I have to get back on track now, and start over. This time I mean it! A new start.... i saw all my relatives at the wedding last night and we are such a pretty family! Seriously, gorgeous people I come from! I dont want to be the fat ugly aunt! So I have a lot of work to do now.
