As a date, Feb. 12th (Lincoln’s birthday) in general is not a particularly crowded day. This year, it happens to fall on the Monday immediately prior to Mardi Gras. And Mardi Gras week brings crowds. (Mardi Gras varies year to year, often in February but can be as late as early March.)
Similarly, Feb. 22nd (Washington’s birthday) is not necessarily a crowd draw, but it often falls during the week of Presidents Day (3rd Monday in February) and that is a very crowded time. This year, Presidents Day is Feb. 19th.
Enjoy your vacation!
