I had initally thought about using Disneyland Express but after looking at the schedule, I realized that we are last hotel to be dropped off. I don't mind paying extra for a limousine service. Does anyone have any limousine company recommendations and how much was your rate?

Have you considered just taking a cab? We grab a cab at SNA and get to DLH in about 20 minutes. It costs about $40 one way and there are lots of them ready to go to and from the hotel

I agree that using a cab is easy and pretty economical. I have also used Golden West Express, I belive they have town cars and mini vans only (they may have limos too). They were great and for our party of six that trip, it was actually cheaper to have them take us than run the risk of not being able to find a minivan cab and therefore needing two. My brother has also used them several times from both SNA and LAX. Their website will give you a quote. www.goldenwestexpress.com

Its been a couple of years so I can't remember the price but I do remember being surprised at how reasonable they were!

I concur. My family used Golden West Express for out December 2007 trip to Dinseyland. They were excellent. We waited less than 5 minutes after getting our bags at LAX. We got to the Disneyland Hotel in about 40 minutes. For our pick-up, the car was waiting for us when we were leaving the Hotel. Highly recommended!

Are the taxis flat rate?

HI.

We paid $80 for pickup in a Mercedes Benz from LAX to DL Hotel for our Decmeber 2007 trip. We tipped the driver $10. There were 2 of us. There was no per person rate. It was so worth it.

In Chicago there are different flat rates to the various suburbs - the rate is per cab not per person. There is nothing similar from SNA to the Disney hotels?

I want to say that on either the trip to or from the Disneyland area to SNA is a flat rate, but not both ways. My aunt and cousin took a cab from SNA to the Disneyland Hotel in June and it was around $50. I am not sure why only one way is a flat rate and again I can't remember which way is the flat rate! I think there is a sticky on the top of this board that might have some cab information on it.

And using Golden West Express I am pretty sure that is a flat rate and not a per person rate. For us they did a grocery stop which was nice but the guy said they don't always do that. I tipped him extra for doing that for us, I assume he was able to since we were his last pick up of the night.

The bell captain at the DLH gives you a flat rate coupon just in case traffic is bad. Because that little ticker keeps going even when you aren't, it can be helpful. It was about $40 for us when there was no traffic

I'm looking from LAX and it sounds like goldenwestexpress might be the way to go. I will try to get a quote from them. Anyone have bad experiences with them?

We are needing transportation from LAX to the Grand Californian. We would like to have a limo service. My 7 year old daughter would love that, but not sure what company to us. Can anyone help with this?

We used Starz Limo 2 weeks ago. It was wonderful to be picked up curbside and have soft drinks and champagne on the way to GCH. That said, I'm not sure I'd recommend them. They quoted me $85. in an e-mail, but when I called they said, "Nope, it's $90" (each way). They said they would add $20 gratuity automatically, but when I asked the driver they said it was only 5% and the rest was up to me if I wished. The total cost before I added extra gratuity was $114 each way; guess that's with taxes and the gratuity. Also, they said I'd get the Chrysler M300, and the picture is on the website both exterior and interior, but the one we got was not as luxurious as the one shown (though of course it was still nice). The one other thing was that I had a bad moment on the day we went back to the airport-- the driver called me to say that his GPS was broken and he wanted directions to the hotel. I was like, "I'm sorry, I'm not from here, I don't know!" When I called the office they straightened him out and he got there on time and apologized profusely. But still.

I think you should call the hotel guest services. They can recommend a good company, and I know there are TONS of them around.

Thank you very much for your help. I think I will contact the GC and see who they would recommend.:confused3

American Limo Inc. gave me a quote for $250 from LAX. It's further away than SNA so the ride would be fun. I'm sure the rate would be the same because of the minimum transfer fee.

That quote was for a Tuxedo Stretch Hummer with all the bells and whistles.

Paramount Limo quoted me $173.25 for a luxury private van from LAX. It had a bar, tv/cd/dvd player. But again, SNA is just down the road so to speak.
