Trying to decide on a limo or towncar. If you have done one or both, which do you prefer, Happy Limo or Tiffany Towncar? Thanks!

Depends on how many in your group. I can't see spending that kind of money for fewer than 4 people. I always book a towncar for my group of 3, and would do so for a group of 4 as well. Larger than that and I would go with a limo. Although Tiffany Towncar 'says' towncar, they also have limos. Same with Happy Limo...they have towncars.

Thank you!

It will just be my DH and me. It is a lot of money, but it is a very special occassion. We have used DME before and rented a car, and didn't have any problems, but would rather use a towncar. We also need to make a quick stop at the store too, and the companies allow that.

We are going with a towncar, but is there a better company to use?

I know you didn't ask - but we prefer FL Tours. They are great, and have served us well on many occasions. Prompt, courteous, reasonably-priced and the owner has a big heart. He upgraded our van to a limo free of charge when I told him my daughter had leukemia and wanted a limo but we couldn't afford it. He actually was happy to do it. So I obviously want to give him good word of mouth... but hey are also the official sponsor of the transportation boards here on the DIS :thumbsup2

Good luck and enjoy your special occasion!

I have used both Tiffany Towncar and FL Tours. I have had very good, consistent experiences with Tiffany. FL Tours was fine, but I wasn't 100% happy. My dh had to go in search of our driver at the airport upon arrival. We had our checked bags in hand and still no sign of our driver. DH finally found him outside the terminal having a smoke. Same thing on the return trip....got down to the pickup area at BW. Waited for him to show up. Called to see where our ride was and were told that the driver should have arrived by then. Finally, dh went in search again. Found the car and driver way down by the bus stop area...smoking.
Add that to the fact that upon arrival at the airport, we were told that we couldn't make a grocery stop due it being Thanksgiving Day..well, we weren't happy. I wouldn't have been quite so annoyed, but I asked several times if stopping for a few things would be an issue since it was T-day morning. I was told three times, on the phone and in an email, that stopping wasn't going to be an issue. When I asked the driver if we could just stop at a convenience store, I was told no, none open.
While I have had some good experiences with FL Tours, that one trip left a very bad taste in my mouth. But, many here have had very good experiences with them.
