So, is this "Earth Day Celebration" the worst Limited Time Magic ever? I'm going with my DD next week and am pretty bummed about this.

So we get some new characters that march in the parade, and a chance to buy some more stuff we didn't need in the first place? Any chance to actually interact with these characters, or just wave to them as they march by? Is there something else that I'm missing? :confused3

It seems like everyone visiting thinks their week has the worst week ever.

We live here and have yet to catch a decent one. They all stink IMO.

I'm really puzzled as to why people seem to think that these limited time magic celebrations should be some super special, oh my god amazing thing when each one is only lasting a week. (Although to be honest, I think seeing some rare characters in Mickey's Jammin' Jungle parade sounds pretty cool. And according to allears.net, you do get a chance to interact with them at a dance party in Dinoland.)

The use of the word "Magic", to me at least, implies it should be something better than what they have done so far. If it were called Limited Time "Extras" or "Bonus" or something along those lines...the reaction probably wouldn't be harsh as it's been. What they have offered so far outside the long lost friends week has been pathetic.

While I don't think it should be "OMG amazing" I would hope it would be enough to warrant getting in my car and driving 4 miles to see it.

If I lived only 4 miles from Disney, I'd go to AK to see unique characters in the parade.

Seems to me that most so far had something to do with new merchandise along with the added very LITTLE extra. Pretty sure this years theme is all about making more money off limited time merchandise. Sure I know Disney and every business is all about the Benjamins, but really not all that magical.

Glad I love every trip to Disney with or without extra magic. :goodvibes

This.

I like the idea of them doing special things each week, but when they use the word "magic" people expect something magical.

I'm excited for this limited time magic. We will arrive early Sat. morning are going to AK to see the parade and dance party. We like seeing characters and can't wait.:goodvibes

Next week you're getting a dance party... with long lost friends... added characters to a parade... unique merchandise... unique food... it's pretty much a merging of all the previous LTMs into one. The only thing you're missing is the chance to vote on a merchandise logo.

My guess is that people who visited during weeks with nothing would argue their weeks were the worst.

We're just upset because the "rare characters" are characters that have made appearances recently, such as Flik and Atta being transferred from the closed countdown to fun parade here. The dance party will probably happen like the one in tomorrowland, where the characters won't stop for pictures as hoped.

But that's the purpose of dance parties...for dancing. As far as I'm aware, the characters have never really stopped for pictures at dance parties

My dh are going down next weekend to celebrate our 20th anniversary. Since we'll only be there a couple of days, we decided not to get hoppers. We've got plans already for Epcot and MK, so I guess we won't get a chance to experience limited time magic since it's only in AK (except for the desserts, which sound awful to me). Oh well, I'm looking forward to seeing Flower and Garden for the first time AND going on the Behind the Magic tour.

I was there for shopping-only promos, so no, I don't think Earth Day is the worst ever. At least there's something entertainment/characters/parks related going on. The "magic" we got - "Buy these limited edition (of 100,000,000 or so :rotfl2:) ears", "Check out our new makeup line", and "Head down to DTD to buy merchandise off a truck" - was all worse. And then there was the "magic" of voting on the logo for next year's merchandise... At this point anything that involves characters or entertainment in the parks, no matter how lame, has to count among the "best" that Limited Time Magic has to offer.

We will be in the parks in 10 days and we are not expecting anything special from "Limited Time Magic", if it is something good, then great, but we are not counting on anything.

Alright, your's wins! Or loses I guess... depending on how you look at it :rotfl2:

The valentines one seemed pretty cool, and the fairy one that just finished up would have been neat. Oh well, still plenty to do and see!
