Going to AOA on 8/20-8/29 (no free dining plan) :( considering adding it anyway. Was just told by a CM on the phone I can add it up to three days before my arrival but that I shouldn't wait because there is a limited supply?? That seems crazy to me and just a way to get me to pay for it further in advance. Anyone else hear of this?

That makes no sense to me and would be surprised if it's true. Free Dining, yes, for sure it's limited. But if you're willing to hand over money to them even the day you arrive, I'm pretty sure they'll hook ya up. ;)

That sounds like the CM on the phone doesn't have the right information. I could see with free dining but for DDP where you pay for it, I would think Disney would take all the money they could get.

The CM is probably thinking of FREE dining, not paid dining. They may have misunderstood you and thought you wanted the free dining plan. (Although the general public plan doesn't include your dates there may be some PIN codes that do, you should probably ask if there is a PIN code with your name.)

They are correct in that you must add it no later than 3 days before you arrive and you cannot add it upon arrival, even if you pay for it then.

Yeah I asked about a pin no luck :( I will check back later before I go and I will book at least three days in advance.

Maybe CM thinks you won't make your ADRs without the plan in place. :confused3 Some folks think that you can't (or even without an onsite res)..That would be limited.

Definitely a confused person on the phone.

I had the same issue. Going the middle of August and requested to pay to add QS DP to our AoA stay as a ticketless package. They told me it was unavailable for my room type. Apparently the ticketless packages are considered a promotion, and thus there are only a limited number of these packages offered under the promotion.

So incredibly stupid in my opinion. I know for a FACT that the QS DP will not save me money... at most I will break even. I wanted to book it just for the convenience of having food paid for in advance. Here I am ready to hand Disney an extra couple hundred bucks for a QS DP and they won't take it. Way to go Disney.

It is possible that there are a limited number of ticketless packages.

If you were going to break even then you're going to hand the money over eventually anyway for the food, so "they wouldn't take my money" doesn't really apply unless you decide to eat elsewhere.
