I just tried to post a reply to a thread and I got this message:

"You have included too many images in your signature or in your previous post. Please go back and correct the problem and then continue again.

Images include use of smilies, the vB code tag and HTML < img > tags. The use of these is all subject to them being enabled by the administrator. "

I have not been online here in a few days, did I miss something? I first took away my signature and it would not go through. I then took away 2 different smilies and it worked.

Oooohhhhh! I just put every "smilie" in my post and got the message. Then it erased everything I wrote!

That's a new one for me too!

WOW! I got it again and I only had 3 smilies in my post!

Hmmm. That post went through. I guess we can only have one smilie per post?

Hmmmm, let's see, we can have 2 smilies per post, can we have three?

Nope, just two?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

There will be no excessive happiness now that CC in no longer in command.

I think it's just you Christine...:p
And yes, youv've missed the monorail...:jester:

Looks like they just cut us off... I just had one with three earlier today

I guess I'll stop with the emotions in my post now too :(

Hi Christine

I guess this is a new thing..........I got the message when I tried to do multiple "confused" smilies !

I saw it but I didn't realize they'd take action like that so quickly... I guess we were so "bad" we needed the restriction like that.

Hmm, I saw that thread but I did not think that :) or :( were considered pictures? *insert confused smiley here*

Shep - it's not just me!! *pout*

No more emotions in posts, say it isnt so Elaine!!!

I don't know if that is why or not. I don't think everyone has been "bad". Maybe it is just to help out with the bandwidth problem?

I didn't see that message either. I asked Pete on that thread if it had something to do with the smilies.

I can't edit my signature. I tried to take out the clipart and the song, but it said that I had too many images to go back and edit it. I don't want to lose my "blah, blah, blah guys". Whaaaaaaaa! :(

I guess if I must, I must, but I'll wait to see what Pete says on that other thread before I do anything to my signature.

yeah, the bandwidth is always an issue for message boards, especially for high traffic boards like this one. I dunno about everyone else, but if they put up a donation site or link, i'd be more than happy to send some $$$ their way!:jester:

Elaine -- your message looks weird without some sort of emoticon in there! You gotta have something, even one of these would help. :smooth:

If it's a bandwidth problem, that's fine. I just wish they'd eliminate something else first before not allowing us to have more than 2 600K smilies in our posts... I'd rather lose my siggy pic first (even though that is my favorite shot of the castle.)

Maggie, give me a few and I can probably create one that has all three on one image.

JoNo, there is a sponsorship program which I happily gave to at one point....

And Christine, I use so many smilies that I'd rather not have to pick where the two I use go

Webmaster Pete passed along a brief message to us moderators saying that he has set the board software to allow no more than two images in any given post, and that it will not affect old posts, but will new ones.

He did not elaborate beyond that, but if any more info becomes available I'm sure it'll be posted. . .

Wish I could be more help, but for now that's all I know. . . :)
