Limit of 3 room requests?

I was wondering if there was a limit on room requests at DVC? Seems to me someone told me once there was a limit of 3 requests (or did I dream it-believe me, I do dream about DVC!). For example, next trip to OKW, we want to request 1. non-smoking 2. golf-course view 3. top floor 4. Miller's road area. Does that sound reasonable? Or is that too many requests?

I don't know that there's a limit, but I understand that they take your requests and prioritize them in the order you give them.

So in your example, the room assigner might be able to handle non-smoking with no problem.

And he/she finds a golf course view. No problem there.

But they get to "top floor" request and can fill it, but not at Miller's Road area. So they assume top floor is more important than Miller's Road to you, and you end up somewhere else.

I think four requests is a lot if you're expecting them all to be met. If you're just putting down your wish list and understand that they might not meet it, then I don't think it's a problem.

Of course, it may all well be moot at OKW. Your best bet might be for an early check-in if they're still assigning rooms on a first check-in, first serve basis.

I generally request when traveling with mother - first floor and non-smoking needed for medical reasons (and they always ask what the medical reasons are - they need that information) - then water view near a bus stop. - now we generally get the first floor and non-smoking and also near a bus stop - it is the water view that we don't always get.

mother has a problem walking - so the steps are really bad on her.

So far I have 3 trips booked and all requested non-smoking. In Febuary we are going to Vero and requested non-smoking, top floor in a 1 bedroom? My main request will always be non-smoking, everything else is prety much pot luck, if I don't like it, will try for a different room.

Thats one advantage of reserving a Beach Cottage at VB.....no requests needed......

1.Ocean View-all 6 of them......
2.all non-smoking......
3.Don't have to worry about what time you check in....
