Hello,

Over on the US boards a lot of people wear Lime green to identify themselves to other DISers while at WDW. I havent read much about this on the UK boards. Are we too 'British' to want to indentify ourselves to complete strangers?!?

Has anyobody bought anything from the DIS store? Do they ship to the UK?

I haven't done the lime green thing (yet) but I can help you with the DIS shop. I did a test run of an order, everything except the credit card but as I wanted to see about shipping.

Depending on what you buy, there is an option to have an airmail small flat packet sent out at a cost of $5. There were other options you could clilck on too but I can't remember the exact details.

So yes the store does ship to the UK.

Hello,

Cool, I think I may get a little badge to pin on my camera case and a luggage tag....not sure I am brave enough for the t-shirt yet!

I bought lime green ribbon and tied it to my bag when we were in wdw last oct. I never saw anyone else with anything lime green, but my dd did!

Yep they sure do ship to the UK :)

I got Karen and myself DIS T-shirts to wear to the last Devon Meet :) I also have a lanyard, water park thingy and a badge - I won't wear them all at once ;)

I wore my badge in December to WDW (which is lime green and says Dis on it)

Ditto London Calling. I assume they chose that colour because there is not a huge risk of anyone else wearing the same colour through 'choice'?!!

I just tied lime green ribbon to my bum-bag and I did get to say hello to a total stranger but American Disser at AASp. (She approached me, I was too shy!).

I tied lime green ribbon to all our bags when in WDW last year. It was very useful when spotting our suitcases at the airport! :rotfl: I did not see anyone else sporting lime green ribbon, neither did anyone approach me! DH says perhaps I do not look very approachable! :rotfl2:

However I will not give up LOL, it took me weeks to find a nice bright shade of lime green and I will be wearing it tied to my bag when in DLP later this year!

No, London Calling, my DH also thinks this is "actually quite sad" but he humours me, probably to make his life more bearable!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Hi There

I Dont think it's sad at all, last year I made a lot of friends on these boards when I had booked the Disney cruise for myself and my daughter and wearing a lime green t/shirt on the day of boarding made it a whole lot easier to meet up with the friends I had made. As a single parent who was a bit nervous of travelling on my own, I was grateful to spot others who I knew belonged to these boards.

hello,

A matter of opinion... My DF certainly thinks so but I am not so sure!

Well I don't think it's sad :) I think it has a nice "community" feel to it and it's nice to see other Disers feel the same way.

I think it is a great thing to do and a lovely way to meet people with common interests!

I suppose I AM quite sad - my DD certainly thinks so! :rotfl:

I like the idea of chatting to like minded people but I can see that it might be a bit scary to get out of your depth face to face.

It also depends if you are extravert or intravert by nature, and best of all it isn't compulsory! :teeth:

I am undecided on whether to wear lime this trip. I might keep some ribbons in my pocket just in case I see someone approachable (it might be you Warebear whatever your DH thinks!) :bitelip:

Keeping an open mind

Hi, we have used lime green on our past few trips. We have lime green straps on our suitcases - we can spot them a mile off when they are on the carousel. We always get lime green ribbon to tie on to the aerial of the car so we can spot it easier in the car parks - I can tell you this comes in very useful when there are hundreds of other similar hire cars to yours!

Just a quick note on shipping to the UK - that doesn't apply to everything but the website does make it clear if the item you intend to purchase can't be shipped outside of contintental USA.

I purchased a personalised POOH watch for DD last year for her birthday and had to ship via friends in Ft Lauderdale.
