Lime green ribbons?

I am new to the board and have been reading about the lime green ribbons. Can someone fill me in on this?

First off, WELCOME TO THE DIS!!

Now, the lime green ribbons are for identification purposes. If you are a member of the DIS Boards and are at WDW, most of us wear a lime green ribbon (or the new lime green Mickey head from Home Depot's paint department) so that other members will know that we are on here and we can strike up a conversation or just say hello. It is a good way to put a face to a username you may have seen here on the boards and make new friends. Does that make sense?

We don't have a Home Depot but we do have a Lowe's. Would they have those at Lowe's or not? Also, on the ribbon, is it just any ribbon that is lime green? Or is there some particular place to get that, and do you tie it, or just pin it on flat?
We need to be in "the know" about this stuff

Lowes doesn't have the Mickey Heads, Home Depot is the only one that carries the Disney line of paints. The heads are the paint swatches that you can pick up. I have some extra ones that I would be glad to mail you if you PM me your address. As far as the ribbon, it can be any ribbon as long as it is lime green in color. Most just tie it to their fannay pack or back pack or stroller. Some place it is easily seen by other DIS'ers.

Thanks for all the good info on the ribbons!! Also, thanks for the offer to mail me some of your extras Ratpack - I will just get some of the ribbon and that should do just fine. I just don't want to look like the nerd who just wasn't in the know on how to wear my ribbon.(lol)
