Lime Green Mickey Head...

Stopped by HD last night and grabbed a bunch. I think the guy at the paint counter thought I was nuts. I made my DS9 and DS5 grab a few different colors for themselves so I didn't draw too much attention to myself. They thought they were very cool. DS9 could not quite understand why I wanted multiple lime green ones so I really hope someone notices us on our trip from 4/10-4/17/10. Now that he knows, I am sure he will spot someone and go up to them. He (and I) would be thrilled if someone came up to us

I'll be there 4/16-19 but are only doing the parks on the 18th. We are however staying at POP and will be doing ADRs so maybe we'll see each other. I'll be sure to say HI. I'll have the LGMH on my lanyard and I'm going to try to make a pin to attach to my purse or backpack depending what I'm wearing.


Also as far as door ideas I have one but I'm not sure how well it's going to work so I'll have to let you all know when I try...ideas are welcomed. I was thinking of printing a LGMH on my computer a decent size, laminating it and punching a hole for some yarn or string. Then I'm going to hang it on the door knob and write Do you DIS. Then I wanted to try and attach either a little paper made pouch or something similar to the clear pouches that hang on the lanyards so that I can put a bunch of the LGMH from HD and a little sharpie. People can leave a note on them or even their sn. I'll be sure to have lots of LGMH and little sharpies in case some "disappear"

I am sitting on a bench right now in dinoland wearing a LGMH. So far no one has noticed in 2 days. I have one on my bag and another on a lanyard.

It could have been you, I'm really not certain though, I don't remember what the people looked like, heck I don't even remember what kind of vehicle they were driving.. We did wave, and they did see us. I was driving a sort of orange / gold colored '94 Honda Accord. It was either on Saturday, September 5th, or Sunday, September 6th, but I don't remember for certain which day it was.

Someone had a sign on their door last year at POP century asking Disers to sign it so we did and left a happy message.

we laminated, hole punched and had ours dangling off the stroller. no go. i did see one family who had the tyedye mickey shirts. asked them if they were dis'ers and got my head bitten off! it was like we were beneath them, altho they did own up they got the idea here!

I met 3 nice Disers, and got a chilly reception from 2 others. Why wear a LGMH if you don't want someone to say hi? I hadn't planned on wearing one this time, but what the heck, why not?

Again, how odd! Wear them to meet others or don't and go quietly...simple really!

I will have one on my bag (black messenger bag) and I have a window sign. Think I'll try the door too.

Haha, yeah we had the windows down. The A/C was blowing ICE COLD on the way there, but the gas leaked out while the car was parked, so we had nothing on the trip back. I was tempted to stop at a Wal Mart to buy a couple of cans, and a charge hose just so I would have cool air for the trip back.

You passed us once, and I noticed the LGMH as you drove past, so I had DW dig hers out, then got back up next to you so I could hold it up. I was joking with DW about how we had been in Disney 11 days, and only bumped into one other DIS family, but then spotted another DIS family on the way back. Now that you mention it, I'm sure it was you, because I also found it funny that the vehicle had NY plates on it too. It's a small world I guess.

I saw someone last september, I was in Magic Kingdom, maybe on the 12th? Around that time. I saw someone with it, but I was afraid, since I'm a teen and they were an adult... I thought they would be like "Yeah... okay... bye" even though hardly any of you would do that.

It was a woman (IDK how old, never saw her face) and she had a black stroller and it was hanging off of one of the handles, I believe. It wasn't very big, but it had her username written in it, but I was too far away to tell. I was walking from main street to get a Dole Whip.

i feel the same way being that i am a "teenager". i am 21 now, but have been following this forum for years but just joined a little while ago. i am going to wear the LGMH for the first time this august 10-16. i hope someone notices, and if i talk to an adult they dont think its weird talking to a "kid" from the foums.

We will be in Disney from 3/23-3/29 so if anyone is going to be down during that time, look for me and my Lime Green Mickey Heads . The funny thing is that I had always thought that my DH would think I was weird for doing such a thing, but in reality, I had mentioned to him about them and he was totally onboard with the whole idea. He told me to go tomorrow and get about 4 or 5 of them and he will laminate them and I can put them on my bag that I wear to the parks and on each of our airport bags .

I have been tying a green mickey head to my stroller for years and no one has ever said anything. Our last trip I saw someone with a lime green tag hanging from her stroller so I said hi and asked if she was from the DIS boards and she looked at me like I was a stalker.

Disney has a line of interior paints that they sell through HD. The paint "chips" are those cards that all paint brands have - take the card home so you could see what the color would look like in your room - but these chips are in the shape of Mickey heads. There is a literal rainbow of color but the color that we're talking about is called "Alien Green". They're free.

An original LGMH is a Alien Green Paint sample for Home Depot's line of Disney colors. Which of course are free.

Any Light Green Classic Mickey Head shape should be recognized as a LGMR.

I'm new to this board but I will be going to HD before my up coming trip. I have spent a lot of time people watching at the parks and I know that I have seen LGMH in the past. One that stands out in my memory was tied to a fuzzy top hat, don't remember when or where though. I know I have seen others and wondered what they were for, "was it a group thing?", I guess it was. I'll be looking and speaking up on my next trip in April.
