I agree....the bracelets are out of control.....as are those magnetic car ribbons! but, I would order one to support the boards and make myself (and family) more recognizable to other DISer's......

I agree by the fact that they have gone out of control. I went to Walgreens last week and they had these bracelets saying groovy, friendship, morality. The meaning was taken away. I do where a dark green one that says Energy for Life though. I believe it is for Mitochondria.

But heck! What am I babbling about. I'd possibly buy 7!!!!

But just let me say this: I had 800 DISers respond to a poll and say they would buy a DIS t-shirt. I'm still sitting on HUNDREDS of t-shirts. (Some present company excluded! You know who you are, and so do I!)

these bracelets weren't meant to be a fashion accessory, they were meant to raise awareness of certain diseases.

still, if you're giving the profits to an appropriate charity...

I'll stick with my livestrong, breast cancer awareness and heather's hope, but anything that raises money for Give Kids the World or Make a Wish or the like is never a bad thing, is it?
