But just let me say this: I had 800 DISers respond to a poll and say they would buy a DIS t-shirt. I'm still sitting on HUNDREDS of t-shirts.

:earseek: First lemme say, DH bought mine for Christmas (a very nice surprise) :teeth: ! I plan to wear it to DQ because I think it will be too hot to wear outside at the parks. We mentioned this on the DIS Store thread....maybe you'd have more takers (ladies) if you sold the tank, ladies tee or spaghetti strap tanks...they wouldn't be as hot!! Maybe a poll or thread to find out... hhmmmm.......I'd love to wear my DIS shirt at the parks....but don't want to be too hot! :sunny:

Okay, I'm going to be the lonely naysayer on this. The yellow Livestrong bracelet proceeds are meant to be going to cancer research. Any other color is a fake, be it lime green or whatever. The original intention WAS to fund cancer research. Diluting this effort by coming up with all different color bracelets to support other causes seems to besmirch the original intentions.

I'm watching the 60 minutes piece of this and I am wholeheartedly against the disboards in getting involved in this.

That's my 2 cents for what's it worth. Yea, about 2 cents, right?

Twocat, I understand your concern - I just watched the 60 minutes piece, too. And I would agree if we were planning on putting "LiveStrong" on them and claiming that the proceeds were going for cancer research. I think it's clear to most people by now that not all bracelets are going for cancer research. My DD has a rainbow of colors. (I just wear the original yellow Lance Armstrong one.)

T-shirts can be used to advertise charities and soda and stores and nothing at all. So can hats. So can plastic bracelets.

I would buy some if the proceeds went to a childrens charity that funds trips to WDW. If they are just for slae promoting the DIS..no. I feel the bracelets should be sold with Lance Armstrong's intentions....to raise money for charity. I have no problems with bracelets made for other charities. My kids have the pink ones for breast cancer research because Grandma has battled this twice.

I second this suggestion. GKTW or MAW are both great charities for your suggestion. I would buy 5.
