Lilmamibella's journal- trying to lose 50 pounds!! Comments are welcome!

Today:

Breakfast: 2 hard boiled eggs and a bottle of water

50 mins of cardio with some squats, lunges, and crunches thrown in.

3 bottles of water

Lunch: small Smoked turkey sandwich w/ water

Dinner: We went to a mexican restaurant. I wasn't sure what to pick :confused3

So I picked a beef quesadilla with beans and "salad" ( lettuce, tomato, guacamole, and sour cream) had a tea -oops!

I'll be drinking more water..
 
You're doing awesome. Mexican food is my big weakness. Just remember there's usually a lot of sodium, so the scale might go up temporarily. It always jolts me into behavior!

Keep up the GREAT job!
 
Sounds great, LMB! Your choices are getting better, and keep it up. That weight will have no chance!
 
Mexican food is my big weakness too!! We LOVE it, so I frequently make it here. When you make it from scratch (no prepackaged stuff), Mexican food can actually be quite healthy for you!

I see a big difference from how you're handling your eating and that's AWESOME!! One post you said you had peanut M&Ms for lunch and now you're talking about chicken on wheat bread with water! Be proud of yourself...you deserve it!
 

Today/Saturday:

2 hard boiled eggs and bottle of water

snack: light n fit yogurt

Lunch: 1 barbecue sandwich on wheat- no cheese with 6 baby carrots
more water

Snack: cookies n cream kiddie ice cream cone

Dinner: cheeseburger w/ more water

It'll be fun and a lot of people are doing it! Lesli, Shauna, Mary? Will you do this (sorry LMB, I know it's YOUR journal, but this is what I call a "selfless plug" or "subliminal messaging!" Besides, it's good for everyone!)?

The gym I go to is about a 40 minute drive one way! My gym membership ends in October I think. So yeah I could use a little motivation to go there. I hate driving there, but I want to lose weight and I don't want to waste our money either. I'll go check it out, Tigercheer!
 
Best of luck!!!! Even add, like, squats as you walk around your house. Every little bit counts!
 
You are doing well on your food. I understand about the drive to the gym. The Curves that I am signed up with is a good 30 minute drive one way and that puts a damper on me going with the gas prices.

Come on, LMB...get those exercize minutes up for May!! Woohoooo...you can do it, girl!! You'd be amazed at how much you can do without stepping foot in a gym....walking/jogging in place while watching tv, toning exercises while watching tv, little things here and there while you're doing things around the house...it really adds up fast!

S: 1 rice cake with water

L: turkey on low carb wrap with water

D: salad with 2 rolls and a small cup of ice cream with 2 cookies.

Water and more water. No exercising today.
Might go walking with my lab puppy around the neighborhood.

It seems that I always do well in the morning but by late afternoon or dinner it goes down hill. Its hard to eat healthy when everyone else eats whatever they want. Dh thinks he'll lose weight by eating some salads and maybe drinking a little more water with no exercise. My mom thinks she'll lose weight just by doing housekeeping and eating whatever she wants. :rolleyes:
I can drink water just fine and usually don't crave sodas. I have a hard time resisting cake, cookies, or ice cream. I'm hoping that this month I can try and go without these as much as I can.
 
I weighed myself today. And I lost 6 pounds!!!!!! :bounce: :bounce: :banana: :cheer2: I'm so happy! So, I'm now down to 178. How can I fix my ticker? I'll weigh again on next Monday.

Yesterday:

B: bagel with fat free strawberry cream cheese and a cup of grapefruit juice

S: three cheese on wheat crackers

L: Turkey on low carb wrap w/ water

S: half a cup of yogurt and half a box of raisins w/ 2 nilla wafers

D: chicken capri with green beans ( chicken capri is from the south beach diet cookbook)

Lots of water. Did cardio and worked out for about 65 minutes. I also started my first tae kwon do class yesterday and that was for an hour.
 
Tuesday:
B: a bagel with strawberry cream cheese and a cup of grapefruit juice

L: Mcgrill chicken sandwich with no mayo and water

S: rice cake and 2 nilla wafers water

D: pork casserole and water

No exercise.
