I rode this once on a tour. I hear you now can ask to ride in it - or maybe that was always the case and I'm only learning about it now.

I've read two different things: go to the upper level of the train station and ask, or go to City Hall. Which is the right thing to do to ask if the car is running and to make an appointment?

If you want to ride the Lilly Belle, you will want to go to the train station at Main Street and speak with a Cast Member. If it is on the track that day, if they have additional cast, and if it has not already been allocated to other guests or for some other special reason, they will tell you a time to return to ride. When you return at said time, you will get to ride IF they are still able to accommodate.

I have come close three times. I have yet to sit in the Lilly Belle.

One day...

We got to ride on the Lily Belle 3 years ago. It was great! This year we got to ride in the Caboose. Not as special, but still kind of neat.

Great experience. We went to the train station and asked as well. We had to wait for the car to come around the track. Ask for the photo book in the car. They trade out photos every now and again in there. Such a special experience.

I have had the pleasure of riding in the Lilly Belle. Do exactly what Disney Dreams has stated. We have also been able to ride in the engine right behind the engineer. The area only seats two. :tink:

We got to ride Lily Belle last month on our anniversary trip. The others have it right -- go to the Main Street train station and ask a CM. One tip - get there as soon as possible after park opening. There are only so many slots throughout the day, and they pass them out on a first come first served basis. We got there 15 minutes after park opening and got noon seating.

Have fun! It's a great experience.

Yeah I agree, go as early as possible lol. I sadly went on my last day of my trip to City Hall. The guy was nice enough to call around and try and find out if there were any more spots, but sadly no :( I'm going to try on the first day right when I get there this time haha

It took me 8 trips. But last year I was able to ride the Lilly Bell. As soon as the park opens go to the Train Station and ask if you can ride. The Cast Member will tell you if the car is available. If it is, the cast member will give you a return time. Don't be late! You then get commemorative tickets and will get the full circle tour of the park. You will have a cast member on the car with you telling facts and stories of the car as you travel around the parks. It's a very cool experience. :thumbsup2

If you are there for multiple days, try everyday until you get on. I also found out that just because you see the car on the tracks in the morning does not mean you will be able to ride it. Sometimes she is out just for opening but then goes back to the round house. I had that happen three times to me.

Just keep trying.

What is this photo book you mention?

I've ridden Lilly Belle once before and was lucky enough to get to go on my first day of trying. Good luck to everyone who's still dreaming of going!

We had the chance to ride the LB for the first time, last month.

It helped having a daughter who knows how to bat her eyelashes... (I'm sure us getting on had nothing to do with the fact that it was 2 p.m. on a Tuesday in February).

We hopped the last car of the train in New Orleans Square just to take a quick break from walking around the park. I saw that the LB was attached, and politely asked the conductor if we could poke our heads in just to see the inside of the car. He told us to hold tight, and when we stopped in Toontown, he took us back to the car and let us ride all the way back to Main Street.

It was a huge thrill and I've now been able to scratch another item off my DL bucket list.

We've ridden in the LB multiple times. It's been very easy, we simply ask at the MS station and if there is room we put our names on the list. :) It's been great every time, it's a very cool experience. We have been turned away but not too many times.
