Lillian Disney's Engagement Ring?

Hey DIS-ers!

Been a long time since I've posted, but I have very fond memories of these boards in my youth.

Well, I'm getting to that point where certain questions are just begging to be asked, and I am looking for ideas in terms of the ring. I was wondering if anyone knew what the ring that Walt gave to Lillian looked like. I figured this would be a great little Disney reference that my sweetheart and I could both cherish, without being too overt or ridiculous.

Any suggestions?

As they were married in 1925, and the studio was not well established at the time, there is a good possibility that Walt and Lillian would not have exchanged rings at all. However, if you're looking for something that might be an homage, '20s-style jewelry is enjoying a revival right now (and it's freakin' gorgeous -- I would love an old mine cut stone in a deco setting someday).

Just an FYI on antique jewelry - most jewelry insurers will not insure antiques because they are irreplaceable and the exact value is difficult to determine. I know this from personal experience with an early 1900's piece I inherited. So, if you're concerned about loss and you want to get the ring (or whatever) insured, go with a replica of the antique style.
