Where I live, we're going to get the east side of Lilli, which is the bad side.

My classes have been canceled tomorrow and Friday. I'm starting to get a bit nervous about this one.

It's very scary, Skuttle. We're relieved that they think it's going in east of us now, but hate to think about all those in LA that are in its path. It's already a category 4 and they think it may continue to strengthen more this afternoon and tonight. It looks like it could be really bad.

Thanks so much everyone. It really means a lot. The wind has already started to pick up here and it's starting to get cloudy. I'm expecting to lose power early tomorrow morning.

I've already picked up all my outdoor plants and fall decorations....now all we can do is wait.

Yep the clouds have moved in here some already as well and I am well inland of the coast. The projected path has it hitting us directly once it moves inland. We have had alerts all day that we could get hurrican force winds. I am hoping they will go ahead and cancel school for John-Cole tomorrow and Friday but so far nothing. Anyway my prayers are with everyone further south of me and everyone in Lilli's path! Stay in touch as long as power permits.

Please stay safe everyone. Don't forget about the eye of the hurricane. It can lead people to falsely believe that the hurricane has ended. So, if the storm stops, don't think that it has ended. Wait a little bit and see if it is just the eye of the hurricane passing.

I am really starting to worry about everyone i know in BRLA, NOLA, Slidell, and MS. It actually looks like the eye will go right near BRLA from what they're showing here. I usually think of BR as a place to evacuate to, but we did get some pretty good flooding where I was right by the river... I'd hate to think what would happen if that levee broke!! Then there are tornadoes... that's what really worries me, especially at my parents' place in Hattiesburg. They're up on a hill, and every little storm sounds like a tornado coming through there.

I hope everyone takes this one seriously, it moves through quickly (less rain), the levees hold, and the tornadoes stay away! Anyone want to evacuate to the south to my apartment? It is beautiful here today
