How long are you on the train from lille to disney ,can i book eurostar to liille then just pay for tickets from liille to disney at the station on the day ,

or im i best to wait 90 days before i travel and book the lot ,i think you can book the lille disney part 120 days before ,

first time euro star user we usually fly but flights are :scared1:traveling july 21st

Why don't you want to book right through on Eurostar? :confused3 You can get Eurostar all the way to DLP, or all the way to Paris and get the train (I think, but I've only done Eurostar all the way).

the direct train go early in the morning and we have to come from hull to london plus its cheaper via lille ,want to avoid paris if i can x

I can understand how you feel because the direct train does mean a very early start if you live more than an hour or two outside London. Personally it's not too bad for us, but I was always more interested in doing a "via Lille" on the way home, as we always wanted to get back in to London earlier to catch our connecting train (plus the station at DLP always seems to be in chaos and jam packed for the direct train back)

If you do go ahead and book just the London to Lille part with Eurostar, you can still book the Lille to Marne la Vallee train on raileurope.co.uk at 90 days out. They are SNCF's (French Railways) official representative in the UK for selling tickets, so you know they're okay.

We saved £200 between five of us by changing at Lille. We booked the Eurostar first and (because we could book it earlier) and booked the Lille - Marne La Vallee trains as soon as they went on sale through RailEurope. And we got on a double decker train which was über cool! I would definitely advise booking the French train in advance as you'll save a bundle compared to paying on the day.

Wow! I didn't realise it made that much difference:eek: We drove last time and are driving again, so all we have to book is the shuttle (done!) and we know where we are:thumbsup2

This is my experience of booking to go via Lille, i'll try and explain as best i can.

A couple of years ago i wanted to book to go from Ashford to Disney, this was in February and i wanted to travel in June.
Prices for the direct train were already out and had been for a while so were really high which meant i would have to do the in-direct route.

I rang Eurostar and was told that i could book the first leg there and then and it would cost £34.50 each way so £69 each. I would then have to wait until the TGV prices were released later and book that leg (lille to Disney)separately.
What she did say however is that if i was to wait until the TGV prices were released and then book the whole journey with Eurostar the price would still be £34.50 each way (so £69pp) and that INCLUDED the Lille to Disney leg. I wasnt sure whether to believe her or not and was convinced she must have been wrong but she was actually right.

I did as she said and on the very day the TGV prices were released for my dates i booked with Eurostar for £69 each. Ashford-Lille, tgv from Lille to Marne la vallee and back again.

I have recently been priceing up the Eurostar website for April, now to go from Ashford-Lille on the 30th is £69pp return. However it is still only £69pp to go from Ashford to Disney which includes the TGV leg.

My advice would be to ring Eurostar, find out the exact date when TGV prices will be released and book on that date.

Hope that helps. :goodvibes

Time wise looking at the times and days as far as I can on Voyages-sncf.com it's between 1h10-1h30 from Lille Europe to DLP :)

excellent advice poppie 123 i was wondering how the prices worked will ring and find out exact day its on sale and the phone wil be red hot that morning

I hadn't realised the Lille part was released later - that will explain why we couldn't find the dates wanted! Bit annoying they don't make that clear on the website! we also got a £69 return so recommend waiting for Lille times to be released!

so for my july 21st trip im looking at rining around april 20th i think ,should be ok as hotel doent need to be paid for until april 28th just stressed as when we fly its usually been booked by now :scared1:
