I just got Liki Tiki Village through II. It seems like all i seen were positive reviews until of course I paid my exchange fee.

Has anyone had any recent experience with Liki Tiki, and should I request a particular section (if possible).

We will only be at Liki Tiki for the first week, then we're moving on to OKW for 12 days and finally Horizons for one week. :teeth: :teeth: I cannot wait for the summer to arrive.

WOW!! Now that is what I call a vacation. We stayed at Liki Tiki last May and were in the 1100 building. It was the newer model. Big Screen TV nice big tub and modern furnishings. As far as I could see every thing from the 1000 building on up were new. THe 1100 block was across from the water park, so it was easy to walk the kids over there. I would not want to stay in the older section, though. They told us the were renovating so I am unsure if they are finished. However, we would not stay again unless were were reassured that we are in the newer section.

Have fun sound like a trip of a lifetime!!

Liki Tiki is awesome!! My kids love it! Request a one floor unit is my suggestion!

Thanks guys! :)

Should I call now and request a room near the water park or should I do this upon check in?

Hi, we were told by Interval International to call atleast two weeks before our trip to secure a room selection. I called 2 weeks up untill we got there. We even showed up early at 2:00 and told them we would wait until we could get a room in the newer section. We did manage to get a room in the 1100 blocks around 4:30pm. Our check-in lady was super nice, we wrote up a WOW card on her and the resort gave us free dinner for one of the nights  My kids had a blast at Liki Tiki one day they passed on Disney just to slide down the slides at the water park.

Thanks MaMa3 Princess, I will call 2 weeks prior to our arrival to request a newer building. We'll be arriving in the Orlando area around 1pm, so I will make sure that I let them know that I don't mind waiting on a newer unit.

We stayed at Liki Tiki last November. We had also had read some of the reviews and had some concerns. However, we really enjoyed it and will go back. We stayed in one of the older two storey townhouse units. While they don't have the bigscreen TV's etc they were clean, freshly painted and we had no complaints whatsoever. If you happen to get into the highrise buildings that would probably be better, but don't be too disappointed if you get one of the townhouses. You'll be pleased.

just like to say, I stayed there last march and loved it, I stayed at the orange lake this year and thought it was too big and crowded. Liki tiki is a great family resort, I would not hesitate on going back, have a great time
