We are thinking about staying at Liki Tiki Village. Anyone ever stayed there?
We are going to try and rent someone's timeshare.
Thanks!

Hated it! Others who might have been luckier loved it. If you are staying in a timeshare it could be an older and I mean older building. Check out the search function. There are tons of posts on this. I stayed two years ago and it was disgusting, urine stained pull out bed, stained couch no screens on balcony, hole the bathroom wall...I could go on and on. I know there are new sections since I went on the t/s tour but it was not one of the nicer places I have stayed.

I, too, have heard really aweful things about this place.....read Tip Advisor comments for this place.....I do know they are "trying to clean the place up" but it is old and dumpy. The water slides and pools are what first caught my attention because that's almost the #1 feature that I am looking for (after a wind-down from a Disney Cruise and just chill at a nice place with a great pool for the kids); however, I repeatedly read bad things about this place and am now looking into the Nickelodeon Hotel that is being totally refurbished and has AWESOME WATER AND POOL FEATURES if this is what you are after........check it out on the Web..... :flower:

Also, if a nice pool and slide is what you are after....the Caribe Royale looks like a great place without all the "plastic themeing" of Nick Hotel. Much better deals, too! :wizard:

we stayed here back in sept of last year. We were in one of the newer buildings it was ok but I would not stay there again. It seems to far away from every thing. My baby was able to open the front door by herself. The doors have the dead bolt on them that opens when you pull the door handle down. She could have walked outside if we had not been looking. The place was ok but for the cost ,you my find something better.

One more really BAD thing I remember reading about this place time and time again is there is no such thing as a "non smoking" room that the stench of old cigarette smoke is overwhelming..... pirate: not what most people would want, especially for the $ :guilty:

You guys are the best! When you only read bad reviews, you know it's not the place to stay! THANK YOU! I'm off to find another place to stay that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, since I'll need them for eating and walking the parks! LOL.

Try Skyauction. My husband did it for the first time this year and we got the Vistana Resort at an average of 65 per night. I know there are some places at this resort that are less than fantastic BUT nothing is as bad as Liki Tiki. I wrote them and told them how disgusting my room was and all they sent me was a kiss off form letter. You know if they have a form letter all written up that it is NOT a good place.
I have made it my mission to let everyone in the world who asks know how disgusting this place was. I did not even get into the bugs in my first post. If I have steered even one unsuspecting vacationer away then I feel my mission has been fulfilled.

marroit vacation club has a good deal right now but it is connected with American airlines. Check AA web site.
