Has anyone ever stayed at "The Liki Tiki Resort" ? It sounds too good to be true, so I'm a little leary!?! Please Let Me Know...Thx!

stayed there in 2000 and liked it a lot. plenty of room for 6 if needed in the one bedroom, full kitchen, balcony, regular large pool and a large themed pool. some reservations require a time share presentation some dont. if not required they will call and ask you but no pressure. if you do you get about 100.00 worth of park tickets. its down at the end of 192 so you drive about 15 minutes to the first disney exit but its back off the road and quiet.

Thanx for the reply...I was hoping that the themed water park, etc... was all as good as it sounded...a travel agent told me "they can put whatever they want on the internet...but chances are it's not that great when you get there"...I guess that made me a little paranoid. You've eased my mind considerably...If you have time, I'd love to hear from you as to what you thought about the "themed waterpark" area & wave pool. Thanx again!!! _Steph

i would not call it a water park, its a zero depth entry pool with a ripple wave like you would get at a lake. a couple of small water slides, a large, what i call an "umbrella" round water fall, a couple other waterfall thingies you can stand under, a deeper area to swim, lots of lounges to lay on. we liked it a lot but its not blizzard beach or anything like that. there is also an olympic size pool in the main courtyard, a small lake for paddle boats with a sand beach and a playground. there was some sentiment in my home to stay there again this year but we opted for all star music and port orleans riverside instead

My sis stayed therein 2000 and loved it...

EXCELLENT!!!! That's great to hear... Good looking family you have there, by the way !

Did she mention what they loved the most? We have 5 nights booked there and took one whole "day off" from Disney, Universal, etc... just in case the kids wanted to stay at the hotel and just "hang"...the kids are 6 & 10...what do you think?

I've never stayed there, but I did research the property once for a possible stay (decided the kids that would be with me were too old). Pretty much everything I read said that the "waterpark area" was really for kids under 12 (but that it was great fun for them). It sounds like you're just right!

Thx for taking the time to reply to my questions...y'all are great!!!
