Likelihood of getting 4th Fastpass for Space and EE

I haven't been since the ability to book via the app went live.

For those of you who have success refreshing, I assume you are using the app? Do you just refresh constantly and find something in a matter of minutes, or refresh once every minute or two and find something within say an hour?

Is there a way to quickly search for just a specific ride, or do you have to sift through all the rides in the park only to see that "distribution has ended for the day"?

I have an older Android and can't use the app. I used the website on my phone. for some reason Chrome kept freezing on me so I downloaded the Firefox mobile app and was able to use MDE website.

I was wondering what everyone's experience are in getting a fastpass for Space Mountain and Expedition Everest as 4th fastpasses. They will be for 3 (EE) and 5 (Space) people. We will be there August 16-24th.

We are planning on rope drop and midday break, so my plan would be to have my first set of fastpasses done by 1, and book a 4th fastpass for when we return around 5. I am mostly nervous about Space, as that is a must do and would be for more people. I think we could get away with only using 2 fastpasses in the morning- we are doing MK over 2 1/2 days, that day will do fantasy land in the AM and tomorrowland in PM, and will (hopefully) already ridden Mine Train on our arrival day. But it goes without saying that everyone would be happier the less lines we wait on.

For EE my kid is not a good candidate for the single rider line, so that's not an option for a shorter line.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. My fastpass booking day is Saturday, so I am trying to iron this all out (without twisting myself into knots). Thanks!

We went to HS yesterday morning amd used our fourth FP on great movie ride. We tool a break and booked a 5th FP for Space Mountain. Then hopped to AK where we could have gotten a sixth for EE, but decided to ride the safari walk on and then EE walk on during ROL.

When you're on the screen that shows the rides for that park, just choose another time, like a half hour earlier or later, or choose morning instead of afternoon. Anything like that will make the screen refresh. It doesn't matter what time of day you choose in this circumstance - you just want to make it look again. If you chose morning, it may say it didn't find the time you wanted but found another time, in the afternoon or evening. Whatever you can get, take it, and then try to modify it the same way.

Just click a time option (either the hour, or the morning/afternoon/evening) at the top of the screen.

If you are looking for a specific time, then select around that time (so if you are looking for 5pm, don't click morning) so that you don't miss a pass because the slots are filled with morning times.

It doesn't matter what time of day you choose. If you want 5 PM and you chose morning by accident, and the morning slots are all full, the app will say it didn't find the time frame you wanted, but that it did find alternate times, and it will show anything available in the afternoon or evening. It will show you what times are available for the rest of that day, regardless of what time you choose. Same thing for earlier in the day. If it's first thing in the morning and you want a FP+ for the afternoon but the afternoon slots are full, it will still show you morning slots if there are any.

So, just to see how quickly I could get a Space Mountain FP for today (even though I'm sitting at home online dreaming of being at DW), I started at 2:25PM refreshing with the app. In under 1 minute I was able to get a late night Space Mountain FP for 3. I then continued to refresh to modify the time. After a couple of steps of moving it earlier I was able to get a 2:35 FP at 2:29PM. So it only took me 4 minutes to get a SM FP for a current time. And now I will sadly drop the FP.

Yep, I just did the same thing and was able to get a Space FP for later this afternoon, after the app showed that none were available on the first two tries.

My main concern with this trip is not having FP for MK because our party is split up into people staying all day, and people only doing RD and then coming back at night. So most days we have a single FP booked for the morning, and those coming back at night will book same day for MK in the evening. That's perfect for them and what I would do to. But since some of us will be there in the middle of the day I really wanted to utilize FP, but didn't want to risk not getting to ride with the rest of the group in the evenings. Sounds like as long as I give myself an hour or two buffer I should be able to get FPs that match up with them at MK.

I got 4th+ FPs for all of those except Pandora on our trips in March and May. With a party of 2 each time which makes it easier. Pandora is the hard one right now so do not count on that at all. If you get one consider yourself lucky.

We were just at WDW mid May and used it like that for many rides including 7DMT, Peter Pan, Splash and Big Thunder multiple times, RnR, ToT, TSMM, etc. We did not find FEA but didn't look much for it after riding it standby and not seeing the big deal. We typically RD one park and use our FP's later in the morning. Then we'll grab a couple more FP before heading to the resort for a break. We then go to whichever park interests us for the evening and grab more FP's as we go.

ETA, we also grabbed a ROL FP within about an hour or two of the performance starting.

Out of curiosity I just tried to book FP for SM tonight for 2 people.

I had to refresh 4 times but I did get a 9:55 time slot. Not ideal but the refresh really seems to work.

Now if you go to modify it you can refresh that until you get a time that you would prefer. It may take a few minutes but you should be able to get an earlier time.

Out of curiosity, if one were to forget to cancel a test FP like this, I assume it would knock a day off a ticket? What if it was an AP? No penalty?

So folks not even in the parks can book FPs today in the parks and play keep away from those actually there?

We used to only do AK in the afternoon and could usually get an FP+ for EE right when we got to the park for either right then or in an hour or so. That was getting there at or just after lunch. We used the FP+ usually at DHS in the AM. We have gotten SM before, maybe twice. We got it just about lunch or right after, but it was for 3:30pm or even later. These were usually during the summer or Spring Break, so fairly busy times.
