Before I post the answer to Rations Drop Clue #11, I wanted to refresh your memories with the clues themselves, with some commentary thrown in for kicks and giggles. Here they are:

1) This place is NOT in one of the parks.

Nope. This one's at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

2) This restaurant is NOT a quiet, understated kind of place.

The atmosphere, colors, music, EVERYTHING is upbeat and festive!

3) Eating here is NOT for those without adventurous palettes.

It is described as a place where, "guests have the ability to savor the African experience, which has multicultural influences." Although, I understand there is like 60 succulent choices on the buffet. I'd imagine there wouldn't be anyone left hungry.

4) Do NOT approach the desserts if you do NOT want to be tempted.

Two words.

Zebra Domes.

5) You will NOT see characters at this place.

At least not with costumes on.

6) Soldier #1 has NOT eaten here.

Not yet.

7) Soldier #2 has NOT NOT eaten here.

I think maroo has done breakfast here. I'm not a breakfast person, AT ALL, so I'd lose a fair amount of money drinking coffee- which I hear is pretty good by the way.

8) There is NOT a letter N in the name of the place.

B.O.M.A.

9) One can NOT leave here without being utterly satisfied and stuffed.

60 items- lots to go around.

10) A little bunny with a goofy name does NOT hop around this place, although his namesake dish can be eaten here.

FuFu - sweet and white potatoes mashed with coriander and cinnamon

Now, by process of elimination, and some really good guessing, and just in case you missed it from above, the answer narrows down to~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

BOMA

I think most of you have actually been here already, but for those of you who haven't, here's an amazing review of the restaurant:

CircusGirl's Amazing Boma Review

And as luck would have it, tonight at 1:35 in the morning, I'm sitting here enjoying my perusal of Glennbo's TR and this was the installment I came to next! Seriously, the timing couldn't have been better! So without further yacking and rambling, I give you:

Glennbo's Stellar BOMA Review!

And for those who've gotta know, here are the scores:

that's nice 10
Shannn 7
Tinkgurl 2
eandesmom 10
LiteBrite 3
Winkers 2
Jordan 4
Sleepting Booty 4
punkin413 3
GB 1
reelmom 5
Rosie 2
Piper's Mom 9
Pollito916 6
glennbo123 8
JPFamilyMom 3

I wish Amanda wasn't stuck in a hospital with my sweetie, Piper, I think she'd have gotten this one too. Somehow it just doesn't seem fair! Any thoughts??

How awesome! I check in and see that my Boma review is featured in your Rations Drop game -- thanks for the kudos. I'm glad you found it helpful.

I say give Amanda a point too. We're just playin' for fun.

This PTR is moving too fast for me, I try and play catchup and read all the beginning posts but as I do that this PTR keeps growing and I keep falling further behind, so I am just going to jump on board in the here and now.

First off Leisa, I am so sorry to hear about your MIL, so sad but yet a blessing as she went peacefully.

I am enjoying your back story of Disney world, my first trip I didn't see the hype in AK, but I studied up for my next trip and found AK to be a little more enjoyable, I still only plan 1 day there and 2 for all the other parks but I don't have the attitude of "Let's just get his park over with" anymore.

I can't remember who posted the back story to Dinorama, but I loved it, I had always wondered why Dinosours? Why a carnival then, and what's up with this gas station? It all makes sense to me now, and I don't get that alot I spend alot of my life in a fog, stupor or clueless state, for once I feel knowledged! and knowledge is power!!!!!

I am not playing the game but I vote Amanda gets a point too. I did know this one but I just forgot to answer.

You TR is awesome! Thanks for letting me plagarize :)

OK, she gets a point. I still want to call her in VA to chat with her.

That's very, very OK. Many have done that, and it's fine by me. If you want to though, there's always the Table of Contents on the first page. Most of the real updates aren't that long. This game has only one more round in it, then I will move on to the REALLY fun stuff. Itineraries, souveniers, etc...

It was a peaceful passing, and for that we are grateful. The memorial service will be tomorrow (Monday). I"m sad we won't be able to be there, but that is part of living overseas. :sad1:

I was definitely like that the first time I went. It was so bad, we simply left a few hours in. What a difference a little "know" can do! ;)

GREAT! Another vote for Amanda! I forgot to answer a few times on Tinkgurl's thread. Tis OK, as Glenn says, it's just a game. :)

I'm sitting here with my 2nd cup of coffee on this snowy morning wondering what I should write for my tribute to my DMIL that will be read Monday morning. Not an easy task. She taught me practically everything I know about sewing and baking and canning. Guess, I'm just not sure what slant to take- you know, my favorite memory or what she meant to me, or a little of both. Agh! I have another while to think on it.

I'm also having a really hard time coming up with the format for the last couple of Rations Drop Clues. It seems of exhausted all of my "creative" on the previous clues- either that or I've blown it all out my nose with the snot that won't stop. My head is a stuffy mess, and I"m sneezing more than Snow White's little allergic pal.

Send me some ideas!! I"ve done a word scramble, clues hidden in a story, pictures, you name it. What's left??

I'm sure that what ever you write about your MIL will be great!
When I've had to do that sort of thing I like to make people cry and laugh...funerals should be a celebration of the person's life....at least that's my opinion.

yeah, something to keep it lighthearted, and yet be real as well.

I thought you guys would like that. I'm a Grinch without power. She sent me to bed, and then posted!!:rotfl:

Mom~ Don't worry about the RD ideas. I'll be struck by lightning sometime today and get one of my brilliant ideas.;)

Muahahaha.

Lightening? I highly doubt it. It's snowing. ;) Wrong kind of cloud and weather pattern.

You're welcome!! For all the things I complain about in living here, there's a lot of good too!!! My kids are safe from creepos, ALL the food is organic, life is simple, and best of all, we can walk into any pharmacy and get antibiotics when we need them- for about $2. I'm bringing a bunch back with me. Who wants to pay $20 just to have a doctor tell you you're sick and need an antibiotic?? Brother...:sad2:

Sounds good considering some of the hassels you've had to live with. I like the idea of having medicine at your disposal.

For example the municipalities of Anandapur and Harambe have a whole story and "residents" that they've created around the areas (Asia and Africa respectively) Harambe residents realized that for the good of their land and welfare, they need to protect the animals, rather than allow gaming and poaching to continue, so they created, from grassroots efforts, a game preserve meant for education. That's just one example.

The ancient palace ruins of the Maharaja Trail represent the palaces of actually 4 dynasties and the sultans of each era. Each one was focused on different thing such as hedonistic sensual pleasures, subduing (hunting) animals, another living in harmony with them, and the 4th in seclusion. The Imagineering Field Guides were really helpful understanding all that. Now I can go and see the murals there, and know what they mean. It's like the lights went on.

I think I need to order these. I was looking at them on Amazon wondering what they were all about after you mentioning them on here. I'll see what other things I can get into trouble with book wise....I've always wanted to get a hidden Mickey book. I'm a little confused by there being more than one hidden Mickey book, does it mean that each book shows the same one's from the last book plus newer finds, or just a continuation of the last book? :confused3

Hi MeMom!!! Doesn't that sound fun!!?? I'm pretty sure they are organic too. They always gave a discount to my MIL, and hope they will for us too. And after they close she was always free to glean the leftovers.
OK, now I want to move there! This place sounds like heaven to me. Did you say they were fruits and veggies or just fruit? Either would be great for me!

I'm going to tell you guys the same thing I just told Mom. Since Dad's not here I am acting as The Grinch Who Stole Nightime Posting. If you have any comments you can find me on Facebook. ;)

:laughing:Great sense of humor! I wonder where she get's it from??

Liesa, you could always do a poem that rhymes, with clues hidden in it. It might be one of the easier clues, given the rhyming thing, but it could be a lot of fun. :thumbsup2

Liesa, I think you should write about some of your favorite memories with your DMIL, for sure. I loved hearing other people's memories of my dad when he died. It was so nice to know what he meant to other people. Whatever you write will be perfect, I'm sure! :thumbsup2

Give Amanda the point for sure. We're just having fun with this...I don't think anyone is playing cut throat ADRs.... :lmao:

As for clues, your creativity has amazed me! I think it would be okay to recycle one of your clues from before. Or maybe a visual clue? Find a picture that's a clue and post it?

My Friends- Here the last clue for Rations Drop. I know, it's heartbreaking to see it come to an end, but as most games of Monopoly grow drawn out and dull, so has this. It's time to move on to other more exciting developments in this epic Quest for Freedom!!

Now, make your last guesses, and may the most clever (and persistent) player win!

Just in case you need a clue,

I'm jotting down a rhyme.

Keep your guesses coming through,

Or up will be the time.
