Wow!!! The Poly! I would love to stay there some day!!! But those prices - yowzers! The Poly does seem like the perfect fit for this trip however.

I agree with some of the others. . . I think where Maroo booked on Monday is not necessarily going to be the place you end up staying.

I think Maroo booked POR but you will end up in a DVC studio or suite or a deluxe like the Poly.

OK, I now officially have one more thing I can cook up for us ladies to do on our trip! Gosh, this IS going to be very, very fun. But I think, I may make ours WDW-wide, not just resort specific.

Hey, guess what??! I just talked to maroo. She was just getting off Test Track!! She says there are NO lines anywhere; she's done Soarin' twice, M:S, Test Track, met up with TinyTreasures, and was having a blast.

I. Am. So. Jealous!

No joke! There were NOOOOOOO lines!

The CM's said things like.... "It is crazy slow!" And "Scary slow" and "I have never seen it this slow".....

I am 99% sure that you ladies are N O T staying at POP. While it does look fun and we are staying there in less than 28 days, I have my reasons why you will not be staying there. I don't know if I am supposed to write them here or if my reasons would sway the other contestants. PLUS I want to win the grand prize!!!!!

Pop Century is a good option! We surprisingly liked it on our last trip after two deluxes (WL & AKL). If trying to save a little money but still enjoying theming and lots of fun, then Pop is the way to go. I don't think you will be staying there if miss upgrade queen has anything to say about it. DD and I will be back at Pop for our trip in several weeks.

Mary said she rode Soarin three times so I hope the lack of crowds will still be in effect when we get there! Jordan (DD) and I aren't used to short trips so we have a lot to fit in!

I think I ended up doing it 5 times on this trip!!!! (Soarin'!)

I certainly did tell her howdy from all of you here. Knowing maroo, she's probably thinking of you all, wondering if you'd like this or that, and how much fun it'd be if you were there with her, etc... I do know she's having a great time! She met up with tinytreasures and her DH and was having a lot of fun! Later they were going to meet up with starnightstarsky at Sunshine Seasons for lunch!!

4. Maroo, the QUEEN of upgrades, would never let staying at POP happen. Yes you might initially book POP, there is NO, I repeat, NO way you are staying there.

I just talked with her for about an hour and a half on the phone. She has had THE most amazing day EVER, and I do mean EVER!!!!! I myself, cannot wait to see and read her trip report!!

I still think you will eventually end up in a DVC or deluxe resort room before all is said and done (even if you don't start with ressies at one). However, to me, I think Port Orleans is more likely for you guys than CSR. I don't know why - just a gut instinct.

If you haven't subscribed to Maroo's new TR (see previous hijack), make sure you do - it will be great! (and Sandy I would probably have the tissues ready like Liesa said the Wish kid stories seem to always have at least one tissue moment).

Hmmm... now this is not very good news for anyone who wants to stay there. I've read both good and bad reports on the busses, so it sounds like either a good or a bad experience. Maroo's not sure if she's driving or flying, wherever we end up being... we may end up with busses (or boats, or monorail).

Well this really throws a wrench into my thinking. I want to stay at the Poly sooo bad someday. Who doesn't want to stay at a deluxe??? Your on the monorail, can do back early to the resort and still watch Wishes from the beach, very easy to split up staying here.. you can meet back up very fast, quick monorail ride from the GF for your pampering... WOW. I wasn't expecting this.

The thing about getting the Polynesian for $100 a night - I didnt even realize it!! Sad that!! Seriously - I called the number 6 or 7 times daily - I had only so much money to spend - and I figured it was this trip - who'd ever go back to disney?

It was before the whole magic your way ticket stuff - you used to get the tickets included in your hotel package (unless you did room only) So basically I subtracted the 3 tickets from our package and divided by 6 nights - dh calls it my Disney math! It was before the Dining plan - we bought dining vouchers online - it was a wonderful trip!

Aaack no water! Can you buy gallons of bottled water? I'm thirsty just thinking about it!!

The moment has finally come to reveal the winners of our little game!! Stop bouncing on your sofas! I know this is exciting, but seriously, calm down!

Let me first list out the guesses I've received over the course of the day/night. You will be entertained at the very least.

That'snice- Tim chose the Coronado Springs for the TC3 hangout, saying that the queen beds were the deciding factor. He also played the maroo is a southern girl card, axing out the POR.

JPFamilyMom- Jessica went with POR as our "booked" resort, but thinks we'll ulitimately end up somewhere else.

Sandy- guessed the Poly, but didn't give any clear answer why.

StafaniLyn- says that TC3 has booked POP by gut instinct, but thinks we'll be slowly upgrading until we are staying at like the Ritz Carlton in Jamaica eventually.

Tinkgurl- She also going with the Poly- I think just cuz she loves it herself.

Jenb1023- Jen casts her vote for the POR, but she was in a hurry to get to work, so didn't PM me. Should I DQ her for not following the rules??

Shannn- Shannon didn't give a clear guess- but forgive me if I missed something there.

Pollito916- Another vote cast for the CSR. She made a clever connection with the 3 Caballeros bearing a resemblance to the TC3, so went with that. She caved to the queen beds factor.

I've actually jumped on here a quite a few times to see if I was right... RATS!!! I'm a loser. I should have known better. I feel like I messed this up BIG time... POR fits you guys to a 'T'. I guess I can take solace knowing that there is only a 40% chance of you guys 'actually' staying there. Now I have to bring Juliana to get a hair cut and be mad at myself for the rest of the day! The reason I split this up tonight is my internet. Geez, if it's not my water or electricty, it's my internet connection!! I had typed all of this up for about an hour, then lost it ALL! I figured I'd post some and not risk losing it all again.

Okay, indulge me for a few moments while explain our thinking on this most delicate of matters- where to rest our tired tooshies for each night's retreat.

Way back in Dec. when this hair brained idea (oh, wait, I forgot, I have no brain left) was birthed, our 3rd soldier was not maroo. She was a good friend of mine named Julie who has since backed out, but before she had to do that had made it through the process of choosing where to go. I, being the only one at that time who had been to WDW presented each of the exact same resorts I showed you, in the same order mind you, to LeeAnn and Julie. Each of us gave our opinions as to why we liked each one and why not. After MUCH debate and deliberation we collectively decided on POR. By the time maroo signed on this resort had really grown on us.

None of like the theming at POP, deeming it too fanciful (I won't say childish, but just not what we were after for a ladies trip) for our tastes. We quickly threw out the deluxes thinking, ok, KNOWING, they were just too far out of our price range. It came down to the 2 mods. You need to know that LeeAnn and I West Coast gals. We are surrounded by Spanish/Southwest culture everyday, so we weren't too excited about more of that. Are there, do that. That left POR.

It's smaller than CBR (I did entertain that idea too, briefly), and has the boat to DTD which I"m really excited about! I know, I know, we said we weren't too much into shopping, but I really love DTD. Without telling you exactly where yet, I can't wait to eat there. I also have a small list of souvies that I want to get for the kids. And of course, the specialty shops like Basin (thanks, TK!), the Christmas shop, Arribas Bros., etc... are a lot of fun! That one excursion to DTD will most likely be the only shopping we do on this trip, so we aren't completely throwing ALL shopping out the window, just not focusing on it.

The queen bed issue? NOT! We had always planned on getting a roll away; maroo and I get to fight over that.

The one downside, which is maybe pretty sizable, is that Mary is a Suthin' gal and lives in the swamp. OK, not really, but darn close to it. I don't think she's too excited about this resort. And from her past behavior, we all have yet to see what pans out in the end. But for now, this is what we're going with.
