Hey There! Yeah, we're way excited for this one- I never imagined I could meet up with maroo before next year!

Also, just so you know, with all that's going on these last couple of weeks with my "real life" and now with my family, I haven't had much time to be on others' reports. I know I'm behind on so many of my DIS friends' PTR's, and it's going to take a long while to catch up. Hope you'll forgive me, but I WILL post soon!

I talked to Liesa this week and things are going pretty well so thank you for praying for her. We should see her reappear on this board in a few weeks. I know she really appreciates your prayers for her the family. I will keep you updated as I hear from her.

I am loving every minute of reading your posts and learning about the options that are before us on our "dream trip!". Can't wait!!!!!

But this camera is really special. It is digital...and waterproof! Up to 10 meters down.

Here are some pics we took yesterday when I went swimming with Lauren, William and Lisa.

First William...

Lauren is severely disabled and can not sit or stand on her own, but in the pool she has a lot more freedom and is able to sorta walk a few steps (if her legs behave) and she "swims" by going under and kicking her legs and then we grab her after we count to 7.

I love the pool photos. The pool is so healing. I remember when we were trying to get Tyler to walk. He could not do it on land, but he could in the pool with a walker. Then later we used water therapy once a week for a year for his club feet and his torticollis. I love the pool! The new camera is great!

Hey I have some great news too about cameras! The one I took to my WDW trip last year was lost when we moved back to Blank-a-Stan, but it was here at my sis's house the whole time. Hooray! Another digi. to have fun with. I love this one better because it runs off of regular AA batteries.

When I do my installment on "Wartime Documentation" there will definitely be more about all of this stuff.

So, all you lurkyloos, let us hear from you about what you think we should talk about in Nashville!!

The things I'd probably talk about would be what is everyone's top 3 must rides in every park, top 1 restaurant they want to eat at, park hoppers or not, and maybe resort. Other than that have a good time meeting up for the first time. Sounds like your going to have a great time during this sad time. It'll be a great distraction for you.

These sound like great ideas. I think we could talk hoppers or no for a long time. Actually, we've already chosed our resort, but are waiting to tell everyone what it is until maroo makes that ressie. So, --- stay tuned!

Yes, indeed our trip to Nashville will be somewhat bittersweet. I never in my wildest dreams thought I'd be in the States before our trip next year. I wish I had gotten to come home under better circumstances.

Well, we decided to not go to the Opry this time, just isn't (sadly) in the budget.

But, we (maroo and I) have some AMAZING things planned for this Saturday, and we're dying to share them all with you! We promise some incredible surprises, LOADS of pictures, and some just plain old fun!

Let's just say there will be tons of Disney drama (in a good way)...

You are causing me financial problems. I had to have the Canon D10 for my Birthday so I just posted recently on my PTR that is what I got. After seeing your pictures I just new I needed it to take to the pool and TL in August. I am easily persuaded.

Yeah...I wish that was the first time I heard that! I have been blamed for entire vacations! In fact...I believe there is a siggie around here somewhere that literally says "My trip is in ____ days and Maroo made me do it" or something like that. So at least I am not blamed for your entire vacation...yet!

I am ashamed...

We had a casualty this weekend.

My camera. The new one. Well.... I apparently left the battery charger in Chicago...because I can't find it ANYWHERE.

Which means...I went to Nashville to meet up with Liesa and some fellow DISers and have nothing to show for it...yet.

I know there are pictures on some other threads and Liesa has some pics, too. But we will have to wait for a "real" update...this is just enough to tide you guys over and tell you that we are all alive!

I had a BLAST meeting Liesa.

I will tell you one funny story from our trip...

When Lauren and I were waiting at the restaurant...not entirely sure I would recognize her from her pics and just a few video skypes...She came in and I saw her...and I thought, "She is shorter than I imagined." Then I walked up to her and gave her a hug and said it out loud!

All I could think after that was that I was so nervous that I said that... and she must be thinking... "She is fatter than I thought!"


We met her for lunch, went shopping and shopped till it was time for supper! After some sad goodbye's, Lauren and I got in the van and Lauren said, "I feel like I have known her forever. I feel like is she a long lost best friend!"

Lauren is exactly right!!!!

We had so much fun. And Liesa does have pictures. But she will be heading back over the big pond tomorrow (a 36 hour trip), so I am sure it will be later before she can update and get pics to me...so we will have to hold on for that...

Yes, we have a TON of great pix! I have a CD already made up for her, and will pop them into the mail tomorrow by pony express. She can post anything she wants, and I'll add my favorite moments too--- later. I don't get home until Thursday morning (US Time), so it's actually 3 days of travel for me.

It was so totally fun meeting you too! I will totally make it a priority to come on down to Nashville when I'm in Bowling Green again to say howdy. Next time, you'll have to join us at our secret getaway meeting place!

And who knows, someday very soon, you might make a guest appearance on our little Pre-Trippie--- hint, hint!
