Hello happy travelers...long time lurker here...

I just had to tell you that I thought of you and your sinful snack ideas yesterday...I was at our local amusement park and saw DEEP FRIED OREOS! (Although at this particular moment, the deep fried hot dogs sound better to me...)

:welcome: to our pre-trippie!! Thank you so very much for posting!!!

It is so good to know we are corrupting the masses! :rotfl:

As for the rest of you guys...:lmao:

Jen -

You crack me up. If I could have lost my DIS hat...It would have been last year when I admitted I had... never. seen. Cinderella. That just about got me kicked off the DIS!

The No Way Jose - it counts as a meal...forget just dessert! Definitely not a snack credit. Literally...you would have to "pay" a counter service credit to eat it. :rotfl:

I think the No Way Jose is probably 40 or 50 points....that is just my guess. I have had to point these things out before. :rotfl: And it pretty much messes up my whole month! :rotfl2: That is worth about every snack point I get in a month.

And Leisa...you stole one of my snacks! :rotfl: I guess we can both have one! :)

And that's nice.... :welcome: back to the banter! :)

That looks good! I never saw a mickey rice krispy treat w/ chocolate ..... although last year in DHS we bought a huge rice krispy treat with a chocolate bottom with drizzled chocolate on top. I wish a had a picture of it... it was over an inch thick and about a 4''X4''. It took us a few hours of picking at it to finish it! LOL

Hey, look who's back!! I wondered if you'd be able to make it after I saw the photos from an ummm, "night in with friends". MJ looked like he was whoppin' it up there some!

I see loads of those krispy things with all kinds of extra un-necessary frills- for me just a swizzle of dark choco!

That is Oozing Goodness!! Your not the only one droolin' maroo!! I agree with you Mom, it should count as more that just one dessert.

jenb-she doesn't make them all by herself! she does have help! ;)

Bek, you are an AMAZING help to me in the kitchen. Who knows, one day you may be working at Narcoosees and serve me up a scrumptacious meal! :confused3

Yeah, I know, like where is everyone?? I think I counted like 20 people that are now MIA.

So, did you ever get Cindy's flick and watch her take out the stepmom and sisters??

Sorry for stealing your snack. You see, what you need to realize, is that every thing that overlaps between us, we just get more "soulmate" points. I can't wait to see how many more things we have in common, but won't know until we tour together :woohoo:

I'm here. Lurking in the shadows. Not a huge dessert eater, but enjoying the banter. When we were at The Studios Formerly Known as MGM, I had a hankerin for a jalapeno cheese pretzel. I waited in line a Min and Sids and was all ready to order when I found out they had changed the menu. The lady at the counter then told me you could no longer get said menu item anywhere at DHS. It was a sad day in the life of Biscuit. I may need a moment......:(

Finally was able to upload onto photobucket. I doubt anyone will go back to that post, so here's that last snack of mine that I can't wait to gobble up next year:

You all know that any good military is run with discipline, and, of course, everyone and everything is done rank and file! So to keep you from thinking any less of our disciplined outfit, our snacks deserve nothing less than to be ranked according to most likely to be consumed!

So without further ado, here are Soldier #1's "Snack Rankings": (in order of "most delectable" to "maybe I'll get it, maybe I won't")

1. Frozen Banana (in honor, if you'll remember, of Grandma)
2. Minnie's Frozen Strawberry Bar
3. Dole Whip Float (We need to redeem this company out of the DISboards brig)
4. Cream Cheese Pretzel (and I'm holding out for a spice jalepeno one)
5. Rice Cream
6. Rice Krispy Treat from Goofy's
7. Corndog Nuggets from Casey's (probably during a Spectro show or after Wishes)
8. Funnel Cakes
9. Crepes or maybe something else from the France Boulangerie

So, there you have it. I have no idea (yet!) if we are getting FD. If so, I may get more, as they look good to me or whatever strikes my fancy along the way. If not, I'll have to stick to one a day, as that's what the fiscal planning allows.

I love this snack! One of my favorites! It should be on both snack lists for sure - it is delicious and it's Mickey! (Or a hidden Mickey as DD would point out because she doesn't quite get the concept that a hidden Mickey is not just any mickey head that she spots.)

That is Oozing Goodness!! Your not the only one droolin' maroo!! I agree with you Mom, it should count as more that just one dessert.

jenb-she doesn't make them all by herself! she does have help! ;)

I am sure you are a fabulous help to your mom! I just didn't think she was giving herself enough credit for all the homemade things you guys make. I like my food easy! Now of couse crafts are a whole other story for me! I see no point in spending hours making a cake from scratch because they don't taste that much better than cake out of a box and canned icing to justify the work IMO. Now spending four hours teaching myself how to sew a dress for DD so I could make her and her AG doll matching dresses makes perfect sense. :rotfl:

When you come to Magic Meets, I am sure Jordan would be happy to watch any Disney movie you want with you (and I am pretty sure we have them all - even the direct to DVD sequels/prequels!).

I don't think points count at WDW! Plus all of the walking you will be doing should earn you a bunch of activity points.

WHAT THE HAY??? :scared1: Okay, this is over the top! I feel like bursting into tears, right here at my computer! I mean this is like them changing the Tiki Room on me, or even like taking my beloved Main Street Electrical Parade out! How could they do this to me?

I love, love, love Mickey Rice Krispie Treats. If at all there are any snack credits left at the end of our vacation (ha ha ha), that's what I use them on. :thumbsup2

Jenb, my son is four. :goodvibes

You can blame tiggerbell...I am now so snack hungry it is not even funny!!

Someone at my office just ate bread pudding for breakfast. Then I come to my desk and read tiggerbell's trip report...:sad2: Dangerous, I tell you, dangerous!

So...today's...totally counts as fruit. But I don't think I will be flamed...

Oh, how could I forget that one?! I think that's what will be on my banquet-eatin' table!

So, it must be 6, then?? Let's face it, there will be plenty of snacky type, calorie-laden goodies to keep us busy for a while ;)

I am positive there will be golden HM on my streets!

Oh yes...I have more. Lots more.

Enough to keep us all busy until I go to Magic Meets. :thumbsup2

4 was my guess. My DD is 5 almost 6 and what you have told us about your son reminds me so much of her at that age. Keep the cute comments and stories coming!

Another great snack!!! I love those! I must say with the exception of the "banana incident" and your aversion to dole whips that your list is in the lead per my snacking standards (cause I know you two are very concerned about my opinion on things - :rotfl:).

:goodvibes
I've got a strawberry bar for you.

Brooklynn was in quite the dilemma deciding which one she wanted.

That face is just too precious! She looks so conflicted!

When was this? That is just too sad! Do you know if it is still available at MK or AK? Can anyone else confirm? I LOVE  the spicy cheese pretzels and had one at MK, AK, and DHS last December. But I don't remember seeing any other flavors except plain.

They did still have the spicy cheese one at DCA last month. I had to wait for it because they were out and making more, but it was worth it!

Ummmmm.. Now that is what I'm talking about!

You can be healthy and naughty at the same time!!!!

BTW... I checked DW's weight watchers book and a banana split (1 banana, 3 scoops of ice cream, 3 Tbls of syrup, and a 1/2 cup whipped topping) is 19 points. That might set the diet back a tad!:lmao:

WOW I discovered your pre trip report last night and so logged on to read it all today (only got to page 2 before had to head home from work) and all i can say is WOW!!!! You guys are a trip and I can't wait to read more about Maroo's Veggie Free Diet at WDW, all7ofus giving out more first hand counts of living across the pond in the middle of the great sandbox, and about Thepreacherswife as she tells us more about her new elected position NOT to mention all the great stories you guys are telling as you plan your trip. Have my popcorn and will be glued to the puter for more great stuff!!!! So keep it up :rotfl:

ok so this morning I was bored as no one had posted on PTR's and TR's that I'm already reading, and 25 pages later, WOW!!!! How I never found your PTR prior, glad I did though...

First you both sound like amazing women, doing great inspirational work. Loved your DIS meet.

Sorry for your loss

Very cool about the Disney letter and donkey though.

Mary- I just moved to TN, so we live pretty close I would guess

the Fruit/veggie matters had me :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

I also make my own eggrolls (but I have pre-made wraps) and french fries (from real potatoes) etc. I LOVE to cook, and then I know there aren't any icky preservatives and stuff (my DS4 has a semi special diet we tend to)

LOVE LOVE LOVE your snack lists.

Did I miss anything? Tuning in from now onpopcorn::popcorn::popcorn::

I've just spent the last hour reading your pre trippy. I love it!

I can't remember all the things I wanted to comment on! I love the military theme!

Hello!! :) I have no idea how to answer your question! :) But I did not want to ignore the post!

Isn't Brooklyn precious!!

You are so funny!!

Technically...we can't know how many points it has...I mean...It completely depends on what kind of ice cream, syrup and whipped topping you use!

A banana - I usually count as two points....

But then I have to really look at the ice cream, etc to figure out the rest... no sugar low fat ice cream will be lower in points...

19 seems a little low, honestly...for all of that. I wonder if that is low fat stuff? :confused3

and yeah...this thread...just reading it...counts as 2 points! :lmao:

Sounds like you are going to fit in just fine over here!!! :) This is going to be quite a trip!

I love the "living across the pond in the middle of the great sandbox..." I am going to use that one! :) She is over there playing in the sand!!!! :rotfl:

:welcome: check out all of the new folks tonight! :) Welcome!! :)

I live in Jackson, MS! So I am not too far from TN! It was about a 6 hour drive to meet Liesa in Nashville. :rotfl:

What sort of diet is DS4 on? We just found out William (Lauren's little brother) has celiac disease...so they are attempting the gluten free diet. Not fun.

There will be a snack every day...hopefully...until I run out... and then I am sure we have more stuff we need to cover! We are just covering the IMPORTANT stuff first! Forget WHERE to stay, etc!!!

I've just spent the last hour reading your pre trippy. I love it!

I can't remember all the things I wanted to comment on! I love the military theme!

winkers!! I love your TR's! :) I lurk. Go figure that. Thanks for posting and joining us!!

We are having WAY too much fun on this thread! :)

I have an important announcement....

For those of you following my other psychotic pre-trip report - sorry for the duplicate information...:flower3:

Today...I received an email regarding my Sept 2009 Free Dining trip with my friend Sharon. The email invited me to call Disney Reservations and receive UPGRADE to SSR or OKW!!

:yay: :woohoo: :dance3:

So...I am staying at the SSR this September and not the POP anymore!

But...I am giving away a little bit of TOP SECRET STRATEGIC PLANNING here...but I am sure anyone reading this could figure this out without my help...

I was hoping for a Bounceback that would allow me to book a discount for OUR September 2010 trip! That is the plan! To attempt to get some sort of amazing discount for our trip next year and be ready with the money to book that sucker!

But...now what? Do you think they will still let me book a bounceback? :scared: Will it be a different bounceback? :scratchin
