We really love monorail Resort hopping. We'll start at the Contemporary and work our way around to the GF. We'll hang around in the lobbies..check out the Resorts..then find something to eat/drink at that Resort and soak it all in.
That's what I"m talking about! Just soaking it all in, grabbing a bite to eat, taking some photos, all that!
if you get the chance, go to the boardwalk in the evening and just grab a bench and enjoy the view. Nothing. Like. It.
OK, so tell me about the Boardwalk. What is the atmosphere like? How does it compare to say DTD? Shopping- any not-to-miss stores? Do tell.
I love having adr's at different resorts, just so I can check out a new place.
We stayed at POP on our first visit and loved it. Of course, we were wdw virgins so we had no idea how nice the moderate and deluxe's were. But we really enjoyed it.
Most WDW virgins have no clue, and I think that's ok; just whets the appetite for more, and gives a general feel for the place. Our first times we stayed at the Fort, and even that was cool, but now, I want to climb out of the playpen and toddle around a bit more-
Whew, I just spent all day reading off and on catching up. I was so far behind I just picked a page (100) and read from there. Just want to let you know that my prayers are with you as you wait on Him to see what or when your next move is going to be. I too love Monk and is sad that it is now over or almost over. I wasn't able to follow it this season which makes me sad as this is/was the final season. I want to go to Nashville for your Dis meet. I love to travel and am up for anything. I do follow your blog and wanted to say that I love the quilt you made that is on the head of your blog. Looking forward to the next round of adventures with your group of soldiers.
WOW! Welcome back! I thought I'd lost one of my regulars, and was very sad! I saw on Saturday, that you had posted on someone else's and wondered what I had done to scare you off, then lo and behold, you had posted over here just after!! Hooray!
Thanks so much for your thoughts as we work to sort things out. Decisions like this tend to test family relationships, so specifically pray for that!
GREAT!!!!Another Nashville go-er! Very excited to have you join us! As we get closer, we'll make sure all the details are disersed widely and well in advance.
As soon as I get the fabric I ordered for the border of that quilt, I am going to get it finished and up on the auction block it will go, to to speak. Hopefully, it will pull in enough money for the next group of ladies who want to learn how to quilt over here, and a little extra for my trip.
Glad to have you back, post liberally, I always say!
Wow, after reading this, I see that we really did not explore our resort much AT ALL. Although, in my defense, it did pour buckets 6 out of the eight days we were there. We pretty much ducked and ran from the bus to our room. We did enjoy the food court and the gift shop several times though. I think being on your own, you will be able to stop and experience the little details without all the rush rush. Its definitely a fun place.
HATE THAT!! Rain that is. We got rained out the first part of our trip too last year; it sucked! So, don't blame you at all.
You know me, I'm all about fun, so glad to be staying at a place that speaks fun to so many!
I love your idea of touring the resorts. I like to do that too but my trips are never long enough. This trip I did stop at AKL though. It was gorgeous I think you should add it to your list. The boardwalk is fun too. Also at beach and creme (or something close to that) it would be fun to attempt to finish the kitchen sink. I don't recommend this on a single say though.

Disney also has the best mini golf courses.
Unfortunately, I agree. A trip has to be long enough to be able to do that, cuz, frankly the parks to trump the resorts with touring time- given a a choice. That's why, even with long trips, well, for me at least, I need the ADR's to sort of force myself there. I don't want to come home this time, with a "ahhh, I wish I'd done the resorts more" theme running in my mind.
