Can you please "blow" some of that warm weather up here? It just started snowing, again. Another Nor'easter. It's much to early, we generally don't get snow until Jan. If we get it earlier, it's just a light sprinkling.....

Last Fri, we also had a wicked Nor'easter, got abt 15" of snow. My normal 30 minute drive took 3.5 HOURS.

Hey I'm in the same boat with you.

It's snowing something fierce outside right now and they expect it to last into the afternoon. We were taking Julia to go see Santa at a party her grandfather helps arrange at the Foreign Legion. There looks to be about 3 inches on the ground so far with 4 to 6 predicted in our area. Areas north of me (New York State) are expted to get >20 inches!!!

Of course, I am home with Julia as mom and grandma had to go shopping! Ya think a little snow / blizzard would stop them???? :teeth:

Count me in with the snowed on crew!!! Although it hasn't started yet- we are going to get dumped on.

I would be the 'north of NY State' contingent that could get more than 20 inches!! (I'm in NH).

I'll take a high of 70 and a low of 45 anyday over the 15 degrees I have right now!!!

I guess it would be mean of me to post that I am wearing shorts and a tank top!

We are having warm weather (78*) today on the cusp of the cold front that is heading this way ( part of the No'easter).

Never fear, tomorrow I will be wearing my turtleneck and sweats again as our high will be 68 and low 52!!

Its now turned to sleet! ewww. I have a big party to sing at tonight, so Im hoping all goes well. I worked last night..didnt get in til real late and then heard the news they got that evil man. I was watching the tv at 4am this morning. God Bless our Troops

I think they raised the predicted snow fall...with snow continuing on through tonight! A snow day(tomorrow?) for the kids...means a snowday for me too! Yipee!

Been to D.C. and Arkansas in the last couple of weeks and came home Thursday with a sinus infection! And we leave for the Lodge in 9 days!! Gotta get better!
Then Friday our four married kids (three from out of town) and spouses came for the weekend. And we played the Disney game one evening! What fun--I was on the winning team!
The real reason for the get-together---our three sons and son-in-law went to watch the Bronco's win today--and the weather in Colorado was beautiful for it!! But snow is predicted for tomorrow!
Just got caught up on the posts--loved the Florida Diary! So many are there now, taking in the magic! Single digits for us!!

Wow! The lodgers have had a chatty weekend....sorry I couldn't drop in.....I just unburied myself from the snow

I decided to share a funny story to brighten everyone's day:

I go out this a.m. to get the DH and my car started.....hit the driveway which is a sheet of ice :earseek:

go sliding.....luckily I stayed upright

So I go to open hubby's car door...it's frozen shut.....head for my car, get it started......still slippin' sliding....so far still on my feet though. I go in and tell him that his door is frozen shut and the driveway story. He says he will get it... he goes out, back in in a flash....I say "Did you get it open?"...he says yeah, no problem. I say well how did you get it open?........He Says "Well it really helps when you UNLOCK THE DOOR!"

I guess I forgot that part when I was trying to stay upright! LOL

If you read this far....I hope you got a laugh at my expense!

Looks like we may have reservations to go down mid january.

We have not booked air as of yet so PD for us to find a good fare please!!!

When flight is booked, I will add my dates to my Who's Going database!!! Wooohooo! :teeth:

As for the memories box, I plan on going two sizes up from the current container. That should be large enough to do it yet not be TOO large right?
