Brrrrrr.......

It was quite chilly this morning going to work. Even my doggies ran out did their business and came right back in (back under the blankets).

Ratpack,

that lottery idea is great. i had thought the same thing, it would be cool to surprise everyone. i always had the thought if i had a lot of money as i was checking in at the WL i would tell the CM that i would pay the tab for the next 10 or so families checking in. but that no one could know who paid. just a thought. :D

Have a happy day everyone.

Ratpack....on behalf of your generous "IF I WIN THE LOTTERY" present.....I send PD for a magical trip with the temperatures going on the rise:earseek: :wizard: :wizard: Stay warm and have fun!!

....MY vote!! (I mean the "back in good graces" thing!) Hey, kiddo, I know you won't be at the WL, but I'm certain you will love AKL!! Have a wonderful time, and DON'T miss dinner at Boma!!

I'm sure some veterens out there can help me with my questions. This is my first visit to WLV (end of March):

Are the laundry facilities coin op or free?

In the studio rooms do the fridges have a freezer section?

Do I have to make PS for lunch at Whispering Cafe or can we walk-in and wait for a table? My DH really hates to be pinned down to a time and day before we even get there. "Who knows when will be hungry"

How far in advance should I/Can I make reses for the Cub's Den?

What is a good Room number/s for a studio room? Not to fussy just don't want to look at a parking lot or dumpster while I'm relaxing on the balcony.

Refillable Mugs are only refillable at Roaring Fork right?. Is this convienient when at the pool and in your room at the Villas?

I know theres alot here, but I am just so excited about planning and this site is so wonderful!!

TIAFYI

We were there 2 weeks ago and I can answer your question on the laundry facilities. They are coin operated 2.00 to wash and it takes 40 minutes a load. 1.00 for 15 minutes for the dryer. Detergent is 1.00 for a box of Tide that can probably do 2 loads. They also have Downy for 1.00. The laundry room is on the 1st floor around the corner from Roaring Forks.
About the PS at WCC...we tried to walk up at lunch one day and they told us it would be a 45-60 minute wait and they didn't even look that busy.
Hope it helps.

Sorry Houseofmouse I just re-read your post and you were asking about WLV and we stayed at WL. I don't know about the facilities at the Villas.
My bad!!

houseofmouse

Hope I can answer some of your questions about the VWL.

1. When staying at the Villas you will have access to free laundry but will have to supply your own detergent ect.

2. The refregerators in the Studio's are small (under the counter) and have a very small freezer section.

3. The end of March is a busy time because of Spring Breaks, so I would recommend PS for Whispering Canyon Cafe for Dinner and lunch if at 12:00 noon.

4. Not sure about Cub's Den but would make ressie once you arrive at VWL

5. As for room assignment most of the views are great If you request near elevator you should be OK, the studios that are near the dumpster are at the very end of the building and would be rooms 2560 & 2562, 3560 & 3562, 4560 & 4562,for floor plan go to:http://members.aol.com/InstImpres/wildernessmap.pdf

6.Refillable mugs can be refilled at Roaring Fork and if you are at the main pool Silver Creek Springs the location is very convenient, if you are at the smaller Hidden Springs Pool at the Villas it is a longer walk but doable. We always bring our drinks for when we are in the room the walk to Roaring Fork is very long just for a drink.

Hope I answered your questions feel free to ask anything.
I know you will love the Villas, and that you'll have a magical visit.

Sorry sportfans, for missing the WWWWW Report yesterday. Forgot I had tests, 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM GRRRR

Ratpack, enjoy your trip and I will be listening for the Ratmoble horn. After you get over the Lake Monroe Bridge, drive careful as it is a mess with lanes jumping back and forth. Stay in the left and once you get past the Mall it clears up and you should have clear sailing from there.

houseofmouse: If you will read the first two pages of this thread, most anything you would like to know is there for you, enjoy.

Wow FC! From 30 to the 50s? Strange weather you folks have down there where people eat gators and oranges in bathtubs. :)

Any suggestions for courtyard view rooms? On my reservation, I only requested connecting rooms and to be in the center courtyard. Are the any queen/queen and king connecting rooms? Anything specific I should ask for when I fax?

Thanks! ;)

Pretty much the wild swings you are seeing. Like I have said, It can be a high of 50 in the north of the state and 80 in the south
The bathtub thing came from a post where a DISer was suprised to see California Oranges in the stores here. I told him CA Oranges are for eating and FL Oranges are for juice. To eat a FL Orange you have to sit in a bathtub. Gator Tail is yummy!
