And to think, I came online this morning a bit depressed because I saw there is rain for several days of our trip forecasted.
Don't despair MaidMarion! We went the first week in December last year...and it rained EVERY day! One day (the day we toured AK) it rained ALL day! We went ahead and didn't change a thing about our touring plans. We put on our yellow Mickey Mouse ponchos and heading out...
The good news? We had a GREAT time! It's DISNEY!! The first part of December is great for light crowds, but rain makes it even better!! AK was practically deserted...and the animals didn't mind the rain. The safari was awesome.
True...all of our pictures have a lot of yellow (beware of the sea of yellow ponchos), but nothing ruined our fun. Albeit...if the rain is coming down at parade time...they might cancel it (and they will wait until the last minute

) That happened to us once, but we 'hopped' over another afternoon and caught it. The also did an abbreviated bird show at AK and cancelled Illuminations one night...again we didn't 'miss' anything b/c we just came back to AK a drier afternoon (what an incredible show) and did Illuminations other nights. The also do close TestTrack in rain...probably a good idea!
We did head back one afternoon for dry clothes and once for socks. My one piece of advice would be to pack extra socks in a backpack or purse...especially if you have little ones. Dry socks can feel so good!
One more thing...If it is raining...DEFINATELY ride Kali River Rapids!

We rode it three times in a row b/c noone was waiting. Of course...we only thought we were wet!!

That was the afternoon trip for dry clothes
Here is extra PD for you to stay dry ~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Remeber the extra socks

Wish I was heading down with you!!!
