I guess I was confused...my AP is a Florida Resident AP...so that was the rate I was looking for.
I seem to remember the rate coming out some time in late December ....I always sweat it before the rate, that and waiting for my tax refund which I usually get back the Friday before we leave...it always is nice to have that BEFORE you visit the World!

Thanks for all your thoughts, this has been a crazy week, although he was sick for some time, you are never really prepared.
Please never take a moment for granted!

..ok, back to the Laughing Place!!

AM I THERE YET

Im single digit dancing:earseek:

Ok WL Vets: question: Should I try eating at Artist Point? Just me and my DS 11.

Im still on the fence abour renting a car. Car vs. Disney Trans. Ive always had a car before, so Im a bit anxious.

I wonder how many dis'ers will be at WL while Im there.

Im so excited.

:earseek:

We ate at AP 2x w/ our 4.5 yo. There were several other kids there as well. They have a nice kid's menu. It's a very nice resturant, but also casual (we just wore shorts). The service is great. The food is good, however the portions are very small. We much preferred Concourse Steakhouse at CR.

We have a Courtyard View room book for 12/10-12/15. I have heard that the view could be of the Villas. What should I ask for when faxing in to avoid getting the Villas view and assure a view of the actual courtyard (which I take to be of the pool area). We also need non-smoking rooms and would like a bunk bed if possible. First time at the WL.

Thanks for your help.

Yes, it's true. We had room 5138 for our stay a couple of weeks ago. It's a very lovely room with a nice view of the quiet pool. However, I do not feel I "got" what I paid for as I paid for a courtyard view. So be sure to tell them you want an *inside* courtyard view of the main pool.

There is a picture from our balacony on Majastic's site.

Anyone going in February...I am bringing my mom this time...My dad passed away this week after a long illness and she has had such a bad two years, she is looking forward to getting away. She has only stayed on site once and never at a deluxe resort.

sheesh, I am long winded..sorry

Welcome to the Dis!

Sorry about the passing of your Dad. WL will be a great place for your Mom to relax. It's one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever seen.

Starz723-
I'm not sure what size vehicle you are looking for but $240 seems a little high. Try the Southwest Airlines website: www.iflyswa.com click on the travel section and then rental car. You do not have to be flying them to use it. I checked Rental rates quite extensively and found their rates to be lowest. Also check your credit card perks. If you have a gold card or better a lot of them have some of the insurance you will need built in.

Tardin

When you fax in your request be sure to tell them that the view is your most important priority. The room assigner even called me to say that there were more queen rooms available with the view than bunk rooms. I will be glad to send you my copy of the request I sent if you PM me your e-mail address.

Good Luck.

Typo, 5014 is Queen beds, 5012 is bunk beds. sorry about that.

I am not sure I am understanding your question completely, but.
Visiting guests are given a three hour parking pass. Go to Guest Relations, at theend of the check in counter, and expalin it to them.

I don't post much - but I'm always reading - just a few more weeks til I'm back at the Lodge! Boy do I need it too - like DisneyDmbNut I too just lost my dad two weeks ago - after a long illness - it'll be nice to spend time with DH and DS - I've been away from them both a LOT.

DisneyDmbNut - my sympathies to you and your mom - I have an idea of what you're feeling - although we all feel it differently I suppose.

Edited to say: what on earth happened to my countdown? It WAS working?

Edited to say: Ok its working again???????

WOW, don't check the thread for 2 days and we're on page 9!

DisneyDmbNut - Sorry for your loss.

Now that I spent an hour catching up.....

We could pipe some music into the thread, but it will bog it down for people without high speed connections.

My countdown is now under 60 days...WHOOO HOO!!!

KCDISDAD - If room 5032 is to the left of the elevator, wasn't it right near the stairwell? We've stayed near a stairwell in the past and will never do it again. All we heard all hours of the night was the door slamming to the stairwell.

DisneyDmbNut
Hugs to you  !! You really need some rest and relaxation with your family now!

Liv2CdWorld-

5032 was across the hall and left (as you exit elevator). I did not honestly notice where the stairs were, but I did not once notice any door noises. I think the fact that we were on the 5th floor kept the stair use down. The only noise we kept hearing was the sonic booms of the water pipes after flushing the nuclear toilets they have in the Lodge.

Day 4 is now up. Link below (Thanks FC) Sorry they are coming so slow but catching up with work is getting in the way of my reminiscing.

We were 5028 and the elevator is in a room of its own. We heard no hall traffic to speak of and it was in July.

Not sure what room we were in (it was in 2000), but we were on the 4th floor. When you walked off the elevator into the hallway, you made the left - the only room there. The only other door was for the stairwell.

I didn't hear any hall traffic, but the groups of people that used the stairwell, seemed to use it all hours of the night - every night. The door would automatically shut (slam) whenever used. Drove us crazy.

Attention Everyone.

Please check your signatures. It appears that someone has a bad countdown timer and it is causing all the pages in the new thread to load with errors.

Thanks.

Just removed mine to rule it out.

Anyone just add a timer today?

OK?? Apparently removing mine did the trick. Except I've had the timer for months and haven't changed or touched it....

Weird.

Oh well, I shall remain "clockless"

Some of the large pics are slow loading or not loading, at all could that cause it?

...stopping by to check up on the "troops". Good job, good job, carry on....!

(oh yes, some of you are requesting the WL VET tag. Please refer to page 140
to find out HOW you can qualify....)

I got (sniff, sniff) rid of my (snort, sniff) countdown timer, since it is done. Can't wait to start a new one (probably for 2005) when we try and bring more Nana & Papa with us.

Oh and by the way GOOOO CHIEFS!!!
