Not sure if this is the best forum to post this, but I figured I'd try here first. I'm looking for a decent, compact, and not terribly expensive lightweight jacket or windbreaker for our WDW in January. I found the "Casco Bay Windbreaker" at LL Bean which is sort of what I looking for. Here's the link:

Does anyone have this or have any other suggestions for a similar type of jacket?

Thanks!

Wait until you get to WDW when you need a jacket - and then buy it at Downtown Disney;) I bought a black fleece jacket with a green embroidered Mickey face with a red embroidered Santa hat last year. I also bought a red fleece pullover with the same red/green Mickey embroidery and it has a green zipper - very festive! They are my favorite jackets ever;o)

hi
i usually by a cycling jacket. they are extremeley light weight and small will fold up into an envelope are wind and waterproof. i'ts often all i take to the parks as they are extremely warm. i should think they are much more reasonable than clothing at disney which is very expensive and some times not all that well made. you are just paying for the logo.

First of all, I'm not sure a LIGHT weight jacket is what you'll want in January. It could very well be COLD. I love my Columbia three way. You can wear it three ways (DUH!). The liner is fleece and is great for moderate temps. The outside is just a waterproof shell, good for rain or wind when it's warm. If you ZIP the liner in, it's about as warm as I ever need.

It also "wads" up well and fits in a relatively small spot in my suitcase.

Just make sure it comes with a hood. Getting caught in a Florida shower of "liquid sunshine" without a hood is not fun.

I don't know if they have them still, but I bought a similar windbreaker at the parks, but it was maybe in, oh, 1996!

I still use it though, and I love it for park trips.

Liquid sunshine??? The WDW bus driver told us that it NEVER rains on WDW property. What you see falling is called Liquid Pixie Dust! :wizard: :rotfl:
