A friend of mine just ordered and received one this week. Based on her review, I am planning on ordering one to try it out. She was pretty happy with it. She had to bump up the flash a bit, but her pictures looked pretty good for having pulled it out of the package and just testing it out. It probably does not do as good of a job as an external flash, but for someone who is not ready to shell out several hundred dollars for one it will work.

It cut down on the harshness of the camera's flash quite a bit.

I've done the same thing(virtually) with a piece of white paper held in front of the pop up flash. It works provided that you don't have high ceilings.

Sounds like a very interesting and useful flash modifier for pop-up flashes!

I went onto their Web site to see how it works (link).

Something about the above image from Lightscoop didn't look quite right. If I remember correctly, isn't there a saying in physics / flash photography: "angle of incidence = angle of reflection"? It seems like the Lightscoop makes light reflect back at the wrong angles, contrary to the laws of physics!

Am I the only one whose inner geek is bothered by this?
