We had tried unsuccessfully to get the lights on the "Mickey Time Traveler" sculpture, which we had bought at the "Journey Through Time" pin event in September, to work. We even tried new batteries. We know someone else who also tried to no avail.
Then I looked at the picture in the catalog, hoping for a hint. I noticed the picture showed the alligator clip as if it were an extension to Mickey's finger rather than just being clamped to one of the other wires.
I the looked from the bottom and saw there was a bare metal area on the underside of Mickey's finger. I the clipped the alligator clip to the finger, making sure the clip was in contact with the bare metal spot and the lights all work.
If you have tried unsuccessfully to get the lights to work, try this. Of course, they could have put some instructions in the box, but that would have taken the fun out of it.
